V let out a hum, standing up with his cane in hand. His white hair gleamed in the sunlight pouring from the windows while his coat covered one arm, just the peaking of black marks crawling up his neck.
A young Witch with only one demon tied to his name, but that would change in time. Now that he had a proper watch, the young man potentially had EONS to strengthen himself and gather stronger demons.
“No offense to you, Credo. Your church is beautiful…but I’d like to leave, if you’d be so kind.” His mothers were here now, trying to find an artifact that might have been left by the wife of Sparda, Eva. If they could, they might be able to confirm whether or not she was an Umbra Witch like themselves. In the meantime they were here under the guise of new worshipers and, to the cults glee, revealing more of the ancient history of the Lumen Sages.
They’d really only been given grains of salt, but who was counting? Anyway, since his mothers were the ones that the cult was really interested in, V had been left to his own devices. Or so he thought until he found himself escorted about by one Credo. He wondered if they were trying to please his mothers by showing excessive care to their son or if they were concerned he would stumble upon something he should not.
Either way, what an annoyance.
What was revealed to Credo was on a need-to-know basis. Although a ranking member of the Order, there were many things kept in secrecy. Why the Order was interested in the women that had come calling, the knight could only guess at, just as the bits of this or that they dangled before His Holiness were nothing to Credo.
He had been rendered a guide to the boy instead, giving him a tour of the church until he had had his fill, which came soon enough. He bowed his head briefly in agreement.
“Yes. Of course.” And it was, indeed, to their best interest that they leave the church, as it boasted many secrets. Secrets that Credo had only begun to learn in fits and starts.
“Shall we, then?” he prompted, gesturing for the boy to take the lead.
