this town is beautiful. kit thought so from the first time he saw that blog post about it, and his admiration only grew when he saw it in person. he remembers stepping off the bus in autumn and being surrounded by the vibrant colors of nature. hot red, sharp gold, bright yellow leaves against a brilliant blue sky... it was pretty enough to be a painting. kit wishes he had more artistic talent; he would have liked to capture that moment and saved it forever, and his phone camera just doesn’t do the memory justice.
the same blue sky is overhead now, vibrant again after a winter of grays. the festival seems to celebrate the colors of the new season, despite the joja corporation banners and signs everywhere. kit’s able to look past them and up into the sky, traces the fluffy white outline of a cloud with his eye and then...
he bumps right into someone. and as his bad luck would have it, he’s spilling his (free!) cola all over himself from the impact. “卧槽!” he exclaims before he can even think about it, a flush over his face from the sheer humiliation and discomfort of being covered in your own sticky-sweet drink. “sorry,” english comes to his lips next, and then he recalls that he’s in korea and he finally lands in the right language. “sorry,” he repeats again, this time in the nation’s tongue. “i didn’t get any on you, right? are you alright?”
