he nods with her, relieving his back of stress by letting the fawns down and watching with a smile as they shake their heads and wander in the area. they waste no time mowing patches of green down before curling up against the wild grass and flowers. kiha sets down the blanket from the basket in hand and spreads it wide across the ground for he and ahri to sit on comfortably.
“water?” he says holding out the canteen to her and then looks through the basket which is full of fresh fruit and vegetables, bread and cheese. he pulls everything out and gives her a smile, a gesture to dig in. he leans forward feeding the fawns a few strawberries, which they happily take. “they like cucumber too,” he says with a smile, handing her a few slices of the vegetable. “they’re cute, huh?”
—— ✦ watching as the fawns wandered about before settling into the bright patches of grass, ahri allows herself to pull away from the distraction of the pure scene and lowers herself down onto the blanket, legs tucking under her comfortably. accepting the water, she took a few sips before setting it down between them; glancing briefly back at the fawns before returning her attention forward. ❝ this all looks so nice, ❞ she comments as the food is spread out around them, already plucking a few cherries up and nibbling on them contently.
❝ they’re so cute. its incredible, ❞ ahri states as she continues her own form of grazing, taking the cucumber slices graciously after popping another cherry between her lips. leaning forward, she offers the vegetables to them one by one, a smile constantly lingering on her face. ❝ the world would be a better place if we all had a set of fawns with us. ❞
