Charizard also has a G-max form 🙃
Poor Infernape.
It's been confirmed that, initially, we can only use Mega Evolution in Champions. Other gimmicks will be added later on.
Light That Burns The Sky VS Light That Returns to Nothing... Who is gonna win?
It's confirmed Zygarde got aid at Alola while we made meme of it lol. And that time, he observed Z-Moves that used in there as he watched Light Trio especially Necrozma used his Z-Move. So Zygarde took inspiration to make a light move for his mega evolution. Also I wonder why its name is "Z-Move"? It is refer to Z Pokemon which is Zygarde?🫢
This theory told more about their connection👇
The value we can learn from this for our real life is: "And do not cause corruption on the earth after Allah has set it in order." (Quran 7:56)
I think one thing that makes Mega Evolution stand out is that it's a very specific and personalized power-up mechanic for every Pokemon capable of it, since it's after all an evolution that transcends normal evolution, but this also means that in every game it shows up in, including Legends Z-A, it shows up later into the game than other power-up mechanics. It was the case in both XY and ORAS and it stays the same in Legends Z-A. In XY you don't get Mega Evolution until after three badges, at which point your team is in the high 20s minimum, while in ORAS you don't get it until after five badges, and your team is likely in the low 30s at this point. Your first gift Mega in all three games starts in the low 30s level-wise too. Mega Lucario in XY is Level 32. Mega Latios/Latias in ORAS is Level 30. Mega Absol in Z-A is Level 30 as well.
This aspect really shows in Z-A because Mega Evolution doesn't show up until your team and everything else reaches the high 20s/low 30s, and same with the corresponding boss fights, both the Rogues and the Royale Trainers who use Megas. In this game it's even more apparent than before, because XY and ORAS follow the standard classic formula until you get there, while in this game everything that happens beforehand is more or less glorified tutorial, even if it's implemented in a way that's still fun. Your Battle Royale opponents are minor NPCs who are relative nobodies compared to the really major characters like Canari, and there are no really big or flashy battles before this. This isn't an attack on that aspect, it's just an interesting comparison both to standard mainline and to the previous Legends game, where Kleavor is the first boss and is Level 18, while the first boss here, Absol, is Level 25, and even then is a tutorial boss. The first three proper Rogues you fight on your own terms are Level 34.
That contrast Mega Evolution has with Terastal, Dynamax, and Z-Moves is what makes it cool, but it definitely affects the game design and structure of each game as well as the level curve in every game that's centered around it (XY, ORAS, Z-A). Terastal, Dynamax, and Z-Moves in contrast are universal and general to where every Pokemon can use it, and that in turn allows them to be introduced very early into the game in all of SM/USUM, SwSh, and SV, to the point that you are given the power-up before you start the Island Challenge/Gym Challenge/Treasure Hunt and have the power-up at your disposal right off the bat.
It's not an inherently bad thing but it's definitely a noteworthy thing to comment on. The way Mega Evolution is drastically different from other power-up mechanics means it's implemented into a given game's story differently from the others, and warps the game design and level curve/structure of the game differently accordingly as a result, and this stays true even with Z-A, despite the long gap between it and XY/ORAS.
In this post, I will explain the Pokémon I've chosen to be on Princess Daisy's team, the Sarasaland Gym Trainers, the Sarasaland Gym Challenge, Daisy's movesets and battle gimmick, post-gym battle items and dialogue, and the honorable mentions that didn't make the final cut. Shoutout to @jasonbehrs for inspiring this idea as well as the formatting for this blog (and other Pokémon related blogs I'm currently working on)! Enjoy!
I compiled my Pokemon teams using the new Dreamworld artstyle!
(All of these are what I'd use if I played now except for gens 8 - 9, those were my final teams in my first playthrough)
