don’t leave me alone // @zabuza-momochi
Cerulean coloured eyes looked back at the gate. One last time.
Then he moved on, branch after branch, soon enough he managed to find himself some shelter from the ever so stormy rain. A good day to leave, he supposed. The blond took off his headband, staring at it as if it was going to tell him where to go. At one point in time this had been his goal. His only goal, but... nothing felt accomplished when he was given this headband. No, it was just one kind man, that had finally acknowledged him. The villagers continued to avoid him like before... Maybe even worse. A ninja was supposed to protect, but he didn’t have anything to protect. No home, no family, no friends, nothing. He couldn’t protect people that didn’t give even one shit about him.
He sighed. Time to leave.
In the upcoming days Naruto moved ahead in his journey, just as far away from Konoha as possible. Nobody was even going to miss him, he supposed. Then again, living alone with no home and no money was not what he had in mind... He didn’t even have a goal from the start and now, weeks passed by with Naruto sitting lonely on a bench that was probably about to break through, if he wasn’t going to pass out first.
His eyes landed on a rather tall man, a large big sword on his back. Ever since, he was pushed away, Naruto didn’t dare again to talk to anyone, much less pull on their clothes and beg like an idiot for food.
In the midst of his thoughts, he noticed that the man had caught sight of him. To run? To stay?
He supposed nothing could be worth than this hell of having nothing. Naruto gathered his last strength and moved over, large empty eyes staring upwards before his hand reached out. “Food?”
