G1 27 Day 1 Finishes
A really good start for NJPW’s biggest yearly G1 Climax tournament, arguably the most prestigious tournament in wrestling.
We saw a great young vs old bout with Yuji Nagata vs Yoshi Hashi, 2 Brawler matches with Bad Luck Fale vs Togi Makabe & Hirooki Goto vs. Tomohiro Ishii, then Hiroshi Tanahashi the ace of New Japan vs. Zack Sabre Jr. the newcomer to the G1 Climax before finally getting to the main event of Kota Ibushi vs. Tetsuya Naito which might be the newest NJPW match to earn the coveted 5 stars from Dave Meltzer.
Definitely not a night of the G1 to sleep on, with really every match being a fun watch and the main event being excellent.
