"Perfect nothing" Invader Zim AU

After being locked up in a psychiatric hospital for 3 years by Professor Membrane in a desperate attempt to cure his son of his alien obsession and the one that he calls Zim, Dib Membrane returns to society with an unrecognizable personality; modest, quiet, helpful, efficient, and most importantly, someone who adheres to logic and science to explain what human life is.

However, Zim sees something different; the dead eyes, the smile that remains even on the worst moments, the voice that is barely a whisper like the one of a lamb on its deathbed; he sees an imposter wearing the skin of his enemy. Whatever happened in that hospital gave rise to this unsettlingly familiar figure, one that no longer wanted to "play the same games" with him.

But the others believe it's for the best; after all, he's now Professor Membrane's perfect son.
