Having a human living on board the Massive came with new, surprising challenges. Oh, Red and Purple faced them all head-on (or let others deal with them), and it was a fun treat having Dib around…but that wouldn’t stop Purple from complaining about a few things.
Like how the human would steal some of their best snacks. Or how he would creep around in the vents and scare everyone else (which, okay, was actually kind of funny most of the time). Or how he refused to sleep, sometimes, or even practice basic hygiene. Sure, he was fun, but sometimes…he could be aggravating.
And over the past few days, it was becoming obvious Dib had been neglecting his hygiene once again. He was starting to look…shiny. A sheen of grease coated his skin and hair. Plus, he was starting to stink a little more than usual.
It was bad enough that Purple noticed, and it was starting to bother him. And if it was bothering him, it was probably already bothering Red. Something needed to be done about this!
He considered making it some drone’s job to get the human acceptably clean again…but as tempting as it was, he dismissed the idea. They’d already lost too many drones to Dib, and as funny as it was seeing anyone that was left so scared of the ape-thing, they did need to have at least a few menial workers around for stuff.
His next idea? Have Red take care of it, Red had probably noticed this happening before Purple did. But if Red hadn’t already done it, he would probably refuse, and then both of them would stubbornly wait for the other to take care of it while Dib grew worse…
Purple groaned, throwing his head back at the thought. If he wanted this done soon, and properly…it’d have to be him. Again.
