Design Notes for Zaff. They're constantly going through evolution via my artstyle, however the key information is all here. Originally starting as Zaffre and later being joined by Femzaff, I felt that was a little disingenuous to the latter given she has a far more important role on my page and in my lore in present day. So I eventually coined the names "Kama" and "Sutra" to reflect their story of "love", but more specifically to them- self love.

Zaffre hails from a distant land and is a Prince that has run from his responsibilities/destiny of being king. In fleeing to "our" universe, his retainers are constantly making an effort to return him to the throne. At some point in his story one of his retainers, and childhood friend, Tealia is slain in the process of returning him to his father. Months after the ordeal, the trauma of seeing her demise literally tears him apart and Sutra is born. She acts as somewhat of a coping mechanism for Zaff because if he can't learn to love/care for himself, he can't bring himself to love/care for another.

In Zaffs original universe, the people who inhabit it can freely "shift" between primal creatures and a more humanoid form. Horns are a common design trait and Zaffs "breadhorns" are a pair of 6 that his father has. Sutra's horns are fashioned after Tealia's.

Zaff is a very personal OC to me and both sides of them reflect that. Kama has always been built as an ideal of what I would like to be, whereas Sutra is built more like how I actually am. Their original universe garbs and names are homage to some of my Indian family lineage. Kama was always meant to be a bit of a "Jock" with Sutra being the happy go lucky character dressed/styled after her original selfs interests.
