A Celebration of Excellence took place at the American Black Film Festival Honors event in Los Angeles on Monday night (Feb. 20th). Congrats to all the honorees and to Jeff and Nicole Friday for creating platforms of praise and celebration for Black and Brown creators in the film industry! Honorees included Keke Palmer, Aaron Pierre (That's Mufasa ), Aunjanue Ellis-Taylor, Marla Gibbs and GianCarlo Esposito.
I was also honored to also spend time with my girl the stunning Page Turner (Love it or List it - TV personality - I will be posting about her new show in the next few months) and April Coffee my cute/sassy cousin and creative spirit. ****SAVE the DATE for the Annual Film Festival in MIAMI - June 11-15 on Miami Beach.
