your blog is an absolute delight and i love it!! i hope you do not get discouraged by the changes to tumblr and keep posting. it's fascinating to me to see someone care about something as seemingly insignificant as burgers in anime.
i have friends who don't have tumblr that i've shown your blog to and they also loved it! i had a friend over literally yesterday and we spent a few hour doing those silly anime quizzes on youtube - guess the opening, guess the anime by the random scene etc. at the end, just before he was about to leave i told him he needed to see something and shown him your blog with absolute delight! he laughed a lot about it but was really happy about someone having a blog like this and in the end told me he is probably going to pay a lot more attention to burgers in anime from now on.
even if it seems like what you're sharing touched just a few people, be assured that it goes further. don't let this moment take away from what you've already did. this is a beauiful and funny hobby and you should not let anything take joy away from it
Aw, that's wonderful to hear! I always love the reactions this blog gets, since it started as an inside joke — I never thought it would get even a hundred followers, so that strangers find this blog and join in on the joke is really cool. Your friend's reaction is basically exactly what I hope for.
Rest assured, I don't expect this change will affect the operation of this blog too much. This blog already runs on an irregular, "post it when I see it" schedule. So even though I might be browsing tumblr less often, maintaining this place is as simple as popping back whenever I have something new to share. Easy! Burgers in Anime will continue! Reader submissions will probably go down, though, if sitewide activity tanks (btw: shoutout to @burntyaoi, who is basically carrying the blog right now).
It's just a bummer to think that I won't get to see those sorts of reactions unless I really go digging for them now… I mean, I won't even know to start digging through reblogs without being able to see the note count going up! Just a really baffling change. Previously, I've grumbled and groaned but begrudgingly accepted other changes that have been made here (rip old blue, gone but not forgotten), but this one I'm actually going to send (kindly worded!) feedback on.
