“Oh dear, here we go again, aside from bed time coming up, i’ll do a dream dive this morning, until the next evening everypony.” Star said as she closes the laptop.

“Evening everypony, we’re back once more, though i’m in a more of a somber mood, i’ve been doing my best to shield Snowdrop from any more nightmares, but sadly, i will have to do a dream dive to sort out the issues that is causing the night terrors, as much as i wanted to avoid it, it’s not as simple as what i had to do with Midnight, we were more alike then what might be required, main thing being that we’re both half-breeds, so i will have to connect our pip-bucks, between me and Snowdrop that is, for now, i’ll have to gather what little star power i can to put up a barrier.” Star said, sighing sadly.

“Seems like Snowdrop is asleep now, but she’s gonna have some nightmares about those raiders, even if she’s blind, i’ll have to stay by her side for now, until the next evening everypony, whenever that will be...” Star said as she had her pip buck close the laptop, “Zalos, light sleep mode, we need to be more careful now...” was heard before the laptop was closed fully.

“Evening everypony, we’re back once more, we encountered our first raiders today, they scared my little filly so much, she’s still shaking now, uncouth bastards, darn freaks, the stuff they suggested to my filly, i let Zalos go to town on them, while i took care of those that ran and tried to calm Snowdrop down, which failed... for now i can only be there and comfort her, even though i gave a crash course about what to expect out here, it wasn’t enough, good thing i’m a light enough sleeper that i heard them try to take her, we really need to find a place where we can be safe, as well as a place i can help protect against those idiots...” Star said, cursing some more under her breath, keeping a wing around Snowdrop.

“That recipe was a minor success, if anything the fruity orange taste added to it, though mixing it with carrots and tatos was not a that great of an idea, they kinda fought for taste, oh well, at least we barely got any rads from it, which is good, since Snowdrop is still a young filly, at least body wise, it’s extra susceptible to food, as in helping with the growth and such, still, for now, mixing rad-away with food is a good enough idea, it removes most of the remaining rads~” Star said, with a small update.

“Evening everypony, we’re back once more, it’s been a while, we managed to find another place to take it easy at, so far we’ve only run into some giant roaches, i got a few wild vegetables on the way as well, i even checked out a abandoned factory and found a few rad-aways, gonna try a recipe with one of those to get rid of some rads while i make a meal, it’s gonna be an odd taste, but who knows, we might have stumbled on a genius recipe that tastes great~” Star said, as she moved stuff around to get some food going for herself, Snowdrop and Zalos.

Once Star was done with her crash course about what to expect from the wasteland, their stomachs growled a bit, “Opps, the crash course took longer than expected, let’s head to the kitchen area, to see if they have anything else preserved, after that, we’ll have to hunt for our food, either by scavenging or foraging, we won’t be able to get fresh food for a while, most of the stuff we find are either radiated or mutated~” Star explained further, as she went to pick up her Sniper and laptop, something told her that it would be more useful then she was thinking it would be, and stored the laptop away in the saddle bags.

As they headed to the kitchen area, Star noticed a new sound going around, mainly due to her hearing being allot better then the average pony, she noted that it sounded like the echo location she was using herself in extremely dark areas, she was about to take up a defensive stance, but remembered what Snowdrop’s pip-buck said earlier, “Ok, that’s gonna take some getting used to, so it’s easier to ignore, how’s it working for you sweetie?” she asked Snowdrop, as they walked, ‘‘It’s odd, i can feel exactly where everything is around me, the walls, that giant roach on the other side of a wall on my right, though it’s faint due to the thickness of the wall, is this what it’s like when you use that thing in dark areas, mother?’‘ Snowdrop asked, and Star responded with, “Yes sweetie, it’s quite useful when my eyes are closed or under the effect of the racial ability~” ‘‘I see~’‘ Snowdrop responded with a smile, happy to at least have something from her surrogate mother.

Once they reached the kitchen area, Star set to work putting together some food, a bowl of preserved dog food for Zalos, two MRE’s for her and Snowdrop, “This will probably be somewhat bitter and dry for us both, but at least it’s some food, and anything else i could make food out of, would perish soon after, which would be bad, considering there’s still some ponies in cryostasis, they’ll need the energy to start on their journey~” Star reasoned, setting a MRE in front of herself and Snowdrop at the table, together with some purified water to wash it down with, Star gently moved the MRE and purified water closer to Snowdrop, before she dug in herself.

After they got done, Star took the scrap papers and threw them away, coming back to finish the purified water, once that was done, it was time to head out, be before that, gather some minor supplies, just enough to keep them going for a bit, once she had all the supplies she needed, Star, Snowdrop and Zalos now stood by the exit to the stable, “Are you ready to go sweetie? just a heads up, the echolocation will change a bit once we’re outside, so don’t get worried about only feeling so far ahead, it does have a limit after all~” Star asked and said, ‘’I-i’m as ready as i can be i guess~’‘ Snowdrop said in response, with that response, Star set the terminal to open the stable door, “Get ready, this thing is loud, especially to us with extra sensitive hearing~” Star warned and said, getting her helmet to turn off the incoming audio temporarily, before Snowdrop could ask for clarification, she covered her ears as soon as the sound started, it did that for about 3 minutes before it was fully open, once it was open, Star activated the audio receptors in her helmet again, “There, now to set it to close as soon as we exit... and... there~” she said as she tapped a few more buttons, and then walked over to Snowdrop, picking her up and setting the filly on her back, she then started to head out, as they exit the stable, Star is greeted with a familiar sight, “Good thing i went on those missions to this place back then, otherwise i wouldn’t be used to seeing this.” she finished, now to explore and help how ever she could.
