My first drawing for 2017′s INKtober! Following the official prompt, the theme is “swift”. The CUETZPALIN PAYNALTZIN (”fast lizard” in nahuatl, the name of my original story’s protagonist) makes a swift move to evade DARK BRAIN’s attack.

Social network algorithms, a feed dominated by ads and sponsored content, an increasing number of artists copying “styles” from others, telling the same old stories over and over again, promoting their shallow identities rather than their work are surely turning the activity of creating - one’s own characters, stories, all while studying the technical aspects of art, even with limited resources - more dire and ungrateful, but even with no return I keep studying, I keep learning, and I keep practicing.
