Building onto that, there’s actually this rare pair that ships Zarina and Peri together. Honestly not sure how I feel about that…but what do you guys think?

Despite being a not very well-known ship, when I saw it I immediately fell in love and wanted to make a fanart, with some slight changes to the characters' characteristics.

in the Z and P relation who do you think its the dominant one. also your Z and P skinship headcanons!!!!

I think there might be some give-and-take with who the more dominant one is between Zarina and Periwinkle–they both have very strong/outgoing personalities, but I feel like they also have a softer side to them. So there’s a very healthy balance.

Peri is also shown and stated to be very similar to her sister, and we could see Z dragging Tink around in the beginning of TPF and Tink pushing Z forward at the end, so it might depend on the situation of whichever one has the stronger will at the moment!

I could definitely see Zarina being assumed to be the dominant one by other fairies since she was a pirate captain and Peri is a delicate frost fairy, but in reality Zarina can never get Periwinkle to budge when she’s made up her mind on something…

As for skinship, I had to look that up and it means physical intimacy, right? So unless I’m wrong, some headcanons about that!!

Zarina and Periwinkle are both naturally touchy-touchy, but after Zarina spent a year with pirates, she was extra happy to be around fairies who are soft and smell good and her-sized. So she spends a lot of time giving hugs whenever appropriate, and lingers in Peri’s arms.

Zarina is an inch taller than Periwinkle and it doesn’t matter much when Peri can just hover/fly, but when they stand together or hug, Zarina puts her arms over Peri’s shoulders while Peri puts hers around Z’s waist. Zarina likes to rest her head on top of Peri’s or kiss her forehead!

Peri teaches Z to ice skate and Z teaches her how to dance like a pirate, so they’ve become perfect dance partners together.

On late nights when they’ve either worked in Zarina’s alchemy lab or in the Winter Woods, they’ll snuggle up with some tea or hot chocolate to unwind and be close before going home.

Oooh, it just occurred that I want to know what it would be like if they moved in together, but that would be difficult while the warm/winter crossing problem is still a problem...We should get back to that!

I don’t have a really well-formed picture in my mind yet, so this would be a good opportunity to do that!

Zarina and Periwinkle love fashion and things of an artsy-crafty nature. Periwinkle designs a new pixie-dust-alchemist apron/coat for Zarina with a magical never-melting frost on it to make it sparkle! Z is super proud to wear it.

Peri is more interested in pixie dust than most non-dust-talent fairies and is fascinated by dustology, so Zarina brings her into her experiments to teach her about alchemy and get her opinion, since Periwinkle is also really creative.

Peri spends enough time in Z’s workshop to warrant her own apron at this point, so Zarina makes it and it has glittering gold thread like pixie dust, so they basically match.

They’re usually standing or flying with their arms around each other’s shoulders/waist and are a sass couple 100%.

They double date with Tink and Terence!! All the time. You know how there are best friends, and then sometimes when people are in a couple they have a best couple friends they always do things with as a group? It’s like that (meanwhile, Fawnetta & Silverdessa...)

They have spent so many hours of Zarina telling Peri about her pirate adventures and Peri wishing she could go out and explore across the seas at any time that isn’t bringing winter to the mainland; eventually Z makes the dust that stabilizes warm/winter fairies for temperature changes and makes it a reality!

They save up their dust the way Zarina used to before her alchemy was allowed, and take a few weeks vacation in Tink’s borrowed old balloon carrier.

I’m just saying, Zarina spent a year with humans and Peri loves Found Things so she’d probably be interested in clumsy customs too, so IF they heard about marriage...John Mulaney voice: “THAT’S MY WIFE”

Ouuh! Do headcanons about Periwinkle/Zarina! This sounds interesting.

Periwinkle is really interested in pixie dust, because she hasn’t had much exposure to dustology in the Winter Woods. She’s talked to Dewey and all, but it’s different from experiencing a Blue Moon Autumn Revelry for herself or seeing the Pixie Dust Tree in person.

She was so excited to see the Pixie Dust Tree for the first time that it was all Tink and Terence could do to keep up with her with the snow machine.

When they were there, Zarina (still a dust-keeper at that point) was pouring daily rations and she and Peri were introduced by their mutual friends.

Peri was automatically a fan of Zarina because of how much she seemed to know and care about her talent and Z was automatically a fan of Periwinkle because she was actually curious about dust and wanted to talk to her about her ideas!

Tink and Terence let them chat for a while, but Zarina really had to get back to work and Periwinkle had to get back to the cold of the Winter Woods.

They met again in Peri’s side of the border, when Zarina came to visit with Tink. It’s a bit dangerous to keep your wings inside a coat in the Winter Woods so she allowed Peri to frost them and they had a lot of fun ice-skating.

Peri was super interested in Z’s personalization of her things (like adding a bedazzled Z) and started making P’s in her frost design as if to sign them.

Z thought Peri’s Found Things collection was amazing and it reminded her of Tink’s and how she was sure she could find her own Lost Things and change her talent for the better.

Zarina told Periwinkle about her experiments and they talked about a dust that might allow warm and winter fairies to mingle without needing frosted wings or snow machines. They didn’t get any results.

Periwinkle was a little heartbroken when Zarina disappeared, because she had thought they were friends and she was very worried about her. Also maybe she loved her just a little and was hurt that she left without a word.

After the events of the movie, Periwinkle approached Z to tell her how amazing she thought her new talent was, and they picked up right where they left off.

Zarina, thinking of Peri the whole time, had made a dust that effectively removed the temperature issue for fairies (which is why Tink/Fawn/Nyx can cross without a problem in Neverbeast)

When she told Peri about it, she kissed her.

There’s probably more in there, especially them building their friendship, but this is basically how it goes down.
