DS Games: Tinkerbell

I'm going to start combining some of these game reviews, since I realized that I've gotten a lot of games recently through my thrift store. I wanted to start that off with a duology of DS games--Tinkerbell and Tinkerbell and the Lost Treasure!

Tinkerbell

In this game, you play as Tink, and you're retrieving items and fixing gadgets to make the seasons progress. The gameplay loop is rather simple, but the fun parts come in collecting the stories and poems, which are based on the Disney Fairies Chapter books, and the fashion mechanics. There are a lot of detailed outfits you can buy for your character, which is really fun.

There's also a fortune-telling mechanic that I really like!

I find the season changes to be somewhat tedious, however, as well as how the areas are locked per season. But perhaps as I keep playing, I'll find I enjoy it more?

Tinkerbell and the Lost Treasure

The story mode isn't much to write home about, as you play as Tinkerbell in some chase segments and similar gameplay to the story of the movie.

The real content of the game is in Fairy Mode. In this gameplay, you can create one fairy for each of the five main talents and play through a unique story for each one involving the Autumn Revelry. You have a much more open world to explore, talent-specific mini games and item-finding mechanics, and a crafting mechanic for furniture for your home and for clothes (some of which is also talent-specific!)

I find it interesting though that with the cheat-code outfits, it seems that they made way more outfits for the Water Talent Fairies than anyone else, and the Tinkers seem to have only one unique outfit in this game. . . but maybe I'll uncover more as I work on the Tinker/Garden/Animal stories more?

I enjoyed this game a lot more and have had so much fun completing the stories!

Despite being a not very well-known ship, when I saw it I immediately fell in love and wanted to make a fanart, with some slight changes to the characters' characteristics.
