I enjoy seeing you fall sideways into/back into your obsessions because you go deep on talking about it - so what's something you've been really interested in recently that you maybe haven't talked about on tumblr?

Ooooh recently? There isn't much I don't usually just share on tumblr (obviously I have a lot of interests outside of what I share online but I just don't always have a lot to say about them) but I recently re-read the first two Disney Fairies Quest books (those big, hard-cover, watercolor-illustrated books about the Neverland fairies?) and was reminded about how much I love them. They were surprisingly a lot more violent than I remembered but I appreciate how little the author bothered to hold back for a book series that was primarily marketed towards young girls. Like I'm fucked up in the head but I don't think it had anything to do with those books lol.

All of the designs in those books are the superior Disney Fairy designs. All of them. A lot of them were translated well into the eventual style the short one-off books would adopt (save for Queen Ree, big RIP) but the style of those watercolor illustrations were to die for. I sincerely wish we had gotten more of those in Disney Fairy media.

And godddddddds I love Prilla. I adore her. She's one of the products of my old "if a character has curly hair I'm obsessed with them" phase but I was not wrong in choosing her to be my favorite. I think she's very relatable to a younger, more naive me, and I remember hoping that my fairy was also a Mainland-Visiting-Clapping-Talent fairy so that maybe they could be friends with Prilla QwQ;;
