“Oh did I tell you? I found it! I found something I can use as a drug without having to risk feeding off of Ace or someone else. You stock it, I think. Rarely... Sometimes.” Harley grinned as he stocked shelves at Sinsation with new toys and other sinful things. “Fae blood. Speaking of, did you know Malakiah’s got a new guy? Actually serious and seemingly settling down guy. They’ve marked each other and everything. Coincidentally, he’s a fae. Can’t say I thought he was really the picking one person and sticking to them type, but good for him, I suppose.” He spoke in one of the first truly cheerful moods he’d felt since he changed. He was exactly where he wanted to be, with Zane... and he’d found a new high that actually affected him. “Do you have any plans once the shop shuts? I was thinking of taking you on a date. Dinner. I miss you and I miss you.” He smirked as he put the box of stock back down on the counter, chewing on his lower lip. “I brought us both an outfit from home so we can go straight out so by asking you I more mean, telling you. For once, I am telling you. You alright with that?”

Within moments of his fangs tearing through flesh and tongue tasting the others blood, he was over in the kitchen retching in the sink. Luella had warned him, taught him what blood he could and couldn’t drink but in all honesty he hadn’t intended for his fangs to come out. Harley was just trying to be playful, to suck a mark onto the nape of his boyfriends neck to see if it would stay for longer than a moment now that Harley was a vampire. Fangs had slipped out and before he knew it he had been trying to drink from Zane. “I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to!” He choked out between retches, trying his best to rinse his mouth with water from the tap.

It wasn’t working and soon after he was fumbling for the fridge that he used for his blood bags. Best to flush it out, right? Human blood would get rid of any toxicity, wouldn’t it? Had to. He tore into it somewhat carelessly, eyes darkening as he emptied it’s contents within seconds, gasping for more. Fingers already reaching for another bag that he knew he shouldn’t have, but that had always been Harley; could never do anything by half-measures, had to go the whole hog. Discarded empty blood bag aside, teeth were in the second before he could even register the cool liquid soothing the toxic blood in his throat. The only thing that stopped him going back for a third was his need to check on Zane, but it wasn’t entirely welcome. 

Harley growled, slamming the fridge shut and moving over to his boyfriend, blood smeared across his lips and chin. “I didn’t mean for the fangs to come out, I’m sorry. Are you alright?”

“yeah? you mean that?” harley asked softly, a smile coming to his lips as he heard the reassuring words. “because i’m not gonna lie, for a moment i thought you were going to leave me, even after the memories started coming back.” he admitted though the smile was still on his lips, his heart felt like it was sinking at even just the thought. things just hadn’t been the same since he woke up with his memories gone, and he knew it was a huge thing that must’ve been hell for zane to go through but it didn’t make it hurt any less. it was the only time he’d ever doubted their relationship and their stability, and it had shook him to his core. “i guess though, you could never stay away from my amazing brain.” he smirked at the other, grinning at the double entendre.
