Six Zauras (All Adopted)

These guys are all unique, although some have a theme.

Solid Colors: A bit bland for a Zaura, but very out-going and kind!

Midnight: A shy dark colored Zaura with hits of silver feathers.

Patched: A lovely pink and green themed Zaura that often can be found picking flowers and herbs!

Sun-Set: A mix of purple and red, as well as hyper and constantly needing attention!

Flaming Feathers: The alpha male, a stunning red and orange hued Zaura that is boastful and prideful.

One Wing: As the name suggests, this black and white Zaura is missing a wing, as well as an eye. She’s very protective and will defend you with her life.

The surprise (All adopted!)

So what is this surprise?

Well…there’s no way Rico is TRULY the last Zaura, right? That depends on you!

These two lovelies need a good home! Yep, I’m doing adoptables! I never thought I do something like this, but why not?

The pink and red one is tagged “Lilac Feathers”. She’s headstrong and proud, but ready to put others before herself should the time come!

The black and green one is tagged “Thin Wings”. Unlike most, he can only fly for half the time of a normal Zaura due to the thinner wings. A bit shy, but still cuddly!

So here’s how this will work: reblog with the tag you want (aka, reblog with either Lilac Feathers or Thin Wings) and the first to clame them will get an @ beside the label. Once both are clamed, I will put an “Claimed” in the title.

Part five: The wings!

Definitely my favorite part of the Zaura, the massive wings that also function as arms!

The main feathers are MASSIVE, reaching 1.5 feet at maximum and 1 foot at minimum. Thr smallers flight feathers are there for stability.

Unfortunately, their hands are a bit under developed, sporting only two fingers on each hand. The smallest is called the thumb while the biggest is known as the “Dagger Finger” due to the size and length of the claw.

During flight, there wings are no longer droopy and fan out like proper bird wings. They can soar up to 13 hours before needing a break. They are also capable of turbulent gliding, letting them manuver in even the tightest of gaps.

Part four: the tail

The tail is the only remenat left of their ancestors.

Instead of feathers, they sport three fins, one of which can be used as a weapon. The sword fin is as sharp as a dagger, and can deliver a stinging cut if not careful.

With an 8ft long tail, this powerful limb can deliver some whiplash if it hits you in the chest. An angry Zaura will thrash the tail wildly.

Part three: the torso/back

Not a very prominent feature, that is until you look at the front and the scaled part of the back.

First up: the front! A major feature of the front is the heart shaped fluff of feathers on the chest. For males, it’s more jagged, while females are smoother. The chest feathers required over four hours or prinning everyday to keep them in healthy shape, or they beging to droop.

The back feathers are there for one reason:

To cover up an old trait that Zauras still have from their aquatic ancestors, the Zurumas. The middle fin was once a massive dorsal fin that aided in swiming.
