So about selfcest
It’s one of my absolute favourite dynamics ever and my victims are guys in desperate need of therapy who have parental issues and hate themselves with a passion but also have massive egos and if they met themselves they would probably start a fist fight or strangle their double or maybe kiss
Zim x Zim, or zazr, is the perfect ship for these reasons and no I do not care about what the comic did in the slightest it doesn’t exist to me except for when it’s convenient I only care about the show
I think Zim should meet himself, have the breakdown of the century, some violence, and then comfort and be comforted by himself and they have a bond that literally no one else could ever have with them ever because they’re the same person they know the depths of each other’s minds like their own because they are and things they could never ever say out loud they Just Know
And the closer they grow the more different they become because their environments are shaping them the more they grow apart and one day they will realize they don’t recognize themself in the other and they don’t particularly like them or themself and everything falls apart and left is a hollowness that can never be filled again
