so i saw the drama recently and let me tell you, that movie rattled my brain in a way i never thought i'd have it rattled. i mean...was it made to really just make you think? because it sure felt like it to me. but, it was really good either way. do you like making films like that? @styledbylaw

Zayn was raised with a strict Muslim paternal family, and a conformed Muslim mother. While a lot of his family was strict on keeping up with traditions, the more modernized parts of his family converted to a different lifestyle. Islam still uphols various traits of pagan rituals, so December 25th in his family is not a day for the birth of Christ (whom they view as nothing more than a prophet, also realize that December 25th was a forged birth of Jesus and he is actually estimated to have been born far eariler in the year) but instead a day of celebration for the Winter Solstice and thankfulness for their family. Zayn does now put up a tree for his daughter, who was raised to find her own beliefs and recognize both religions fue to her parents, but his family has always allowed some Yule decorations and spent the day sharing their happiness together.

I am a grade A asshole. I cannot believe I did the same thing to Daya as Brian does to me. Zendaya, of all people?!? This might actually be the worst thing I've ever done. I cannot believe I let my own shit get in the way. Starting now, I'm going back to keeping everything to myself. I'm going back to letting everyone else do the talking. At least then, everyone else felt like they were being heard and listened to. At least this way, it's only me hurting.

I think that Daya doesn't like me anymore. It bums me out immensely because I considered her one of my really good friends, one of my best actually. I don't blame her though. I've been a self-absorbed asshole lately. This really sucks. I've been trying to be better about reaching out to people. Lately, the only two people I feel like I can talk to lately are Jason and Matty. Even then though, I feel like I'm fighting against myself. I just want to hide from the world. I just want to talk to Zendaya. I need her sunshine. I miss making her laugh.
