hey SCP! Sorry this is late, but for the word prompt game, tear, if you're still up for it :)

Ooh, this’ll be fun~ Not sure which “tear” you’re meaning so I’ll do both lol

(Came Back Wrong…?)

Gan grunts as he gets his face off the ground. One thing’s for sure, the ground doesn’t taste very good at all. He’s more concerned about Zelda, though.

“Zelda, are you okay?” he asks, snuffling.

“Ugh… ow… Yes, I’ll be fine, thank you.” Zelda says, taking Gan’s hand in order to stand up.

Gan looks all around. “Well, wherever we are, it’s not where we were earlier.” He puts his fists on his hips and frowns. “Wonder where exactly this is—?”

Before he can finish his thought, he hears the sound of Zelda stifling laughter. He blinks and turns around. “What’s so funny?”

This apparently causes Zelda to burst out laughing, which is always a nice thing to hear, but that still doesn’t tell him what’s so funny. She’s laughing so hard, though, that she even sheds a tear or two.

“Oh! Oh! Forgive me, Gan, but… ohoho… Take a look at your pants…!” Zelda manages to say through her laughter.

“Huh?” Gan blinks. He cranes his head to look where Zelda told him to, only to see a big tear in the butt of his pants. “Oh.”

“I shouldn’t be laughing, I really shouldn’t, but…!” Zelda says, trying her hardest to stop her laughter.

Gan laughs a little bit himself. “No, it’s okay. It’s funny. Good thing I’m wearing a tunic and a cloak.” He demonstrates by tugging his tunic lower and readjusting his cloak. “So how about we try to figure out what’s going on here?”

Zelda smiles. “Yes, let’s.”

Okay now that I can pronounce in one take lol, here’s another something for your little brother!

Gan snuffles curiously. Whatever he, Zelda, and Cucu are looking at, it’s certainly odd. But what’s a good word for it? It feels like it should be a big word, too…

“What do you make of this, Gan?” Zelda asks with a hum. Gan snuffles again. He doesn’t have the right word yet! He’s gonna have to come up with something, quick!

“Super…cali…fragil…istic…expi…ali…docious!” he finally declares, “Yeah, that’s what it is. Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious.”

Cucu clucks confusedly, and Zelda just raises an eyebrow. “Something quite atrocious, or even precocious, huh? Hmm, yes, I can see it.”

Gan blinks, and Zelda smiles. “You just came up with that on the spot, didn’t you?”

“Maybe…” Gan admits with yet another snuffle.

SCP, if you can answer without spoilers, I was wondering about "Came Back Wrong"'s Zelda's past. Specifically, her relationship with her parents, what happened to her mother, and how she learned magic.

I’ll answer from easiest to hardest, bc most of this is stuff I… actually haven’t thought much about.

1) Zelda’s relationship with her father is actually shown in the fic, or at least mentioned, especially starting in Chapter 8 (The Worst Dungeon Ever), so that’s easy to figure out, especially if you read the chapters

2) I haven’t thought much about Zelda’s mother, but I tend to think that her mother passed when Zelda was very young, young enough to where there’s not much to go off of

3) As for how Zelda learned magic? I have no sweet clue. She might’ve been born with it, or maybe she took it as an elective, but either way, she studied hard to get where she is today
