For mine, I submitted the pieces I was the most proud of in a variety of materials and mediums. Maybe you can see if the school you want to go to does a portfolio check? They can give you advice in person.
sadly the school is in ny, but i plan on calling tomorrow morning. i plan on showing off ink, color pencil and both oil and water color paints :O

I never had to submit a portfolio for college, but I know that when it comes to submitting you definitely want variety. If you have more than digital art, show that you have a handle on traditional art. Provide life drawings if you have. Any art of backgrounds and drawings of non-organic things (because 9/10 portfolios have just people, animals, creatures in it and no background art). Portfolios are there to show what you are capable of, and your level of skill.
oooh! that’s really helpful, thank you! the school i’m applying says to keep digital to a minimum, so i’ll defiantly take your advice!

depending on exactly how many pieces you need to submit, make it at least around half of stuff from life (still lives, portraits, natures studies, etc.) and over half of original work in your designated area. you can use fanart, but really only go for it if you think it's something that no one would know
that’s good to keep in mind, but i’ll avoid fanart though.
thanks everyone for the responses! i really appreciate ya’ll taking the time to help me out. ;v;

I like SCP's! One of my faves is that yarn one that is always asking for Erik.
WHOS READY TO GET BLASTED IN THE EARS WITH THE SOUNDS OF BEETHOVEN ??????

A soft detergent and a wash cloth or soft brush might work! That way he doesn't get thrown around like he would in a washing machine. Also those pj's are too cute!
borris-in-the-forest replied to your photoset “squishy boy now has pyjamas to laze around in”
You may be able to wash him in a pillowcase on a low low wash setting and air dry him! Thats the best I've found to wash any homemade plushies or hand stitched garments I've created! Hand washing with detergent works too just like giving him a lil bath!!!!!
thanks for the tips! i’ve tried to clean him a little with a wash cloth (and a toothbrush!) and detergent, but i don’t feel like it did much good. i’d like to just put him in a washing machine, but i’m mostly worried about his face since it’s just made of black felt that has been glued on. i suppose i can just remake his face in case it washes off, but i’d rather not have to do that after every single wash x_x

Does your school have a counsellor? Maybe you can ask them for advice or things to do when you start to feel anxious or stressed about something. I know meditation is good for these kind of things, and taking small breaks help. Taking a break and chatting with friends helps me get through the semester.
I need to check if they have a counsellor. I’ve been considering meditating, but I manage procrastinate doing that - just so you can have an idea of how I’m so done with it all lmao
Thank you, bby! My friends don’t know what to say, but hopefully a teacher can give me good advice if there’s no counsellor there!

Maybe only show up for exams? I mean, if the teacher is useless there's no point in going to class to learn, then.
attendance is mandatory and i hate missing class regardless of the fact that they’re god awful :/
zelda-pairings replied to your post: Someone quick gimme ur copy of minish ...
You can buy a copy on Eshop. Not sure how much it is though. I think it’s for the 3DS but I could be wrong.
I just checked and it’s for the Wii U but that’s okay because I have one! It’s 7.99

That's not enough for me tbh. No one talks about the CD-i Mario game as much as they talk about the Zelda one, and that's all thanks to mah boy
