I did not expect this mid-story twist in Tears of the Kingdom, and I’m genuinely feeling emotions about it even though it’s honestly bonkers

MASTER SWORD ACQUIRED.

Ran into a little bit of open-world-related narrative weirdness in that the Deku Tree (voiced by the same guy who did Revali who I’ve heard in other stuff :D) was all “I can see you don’t remember me” so presumably you’re *supposed* to hike into the Lost Woods and get the sword (or at least start to) before Link gets all his memories back, but oh well.

The triumphant item-get music made me happy.

And AWWWW a last memory of Zelda putting the sword back right before she went off to face Ganon by herself.

Zelda asked the Great Deku Tree to give Link a message.

Zelda: Tell him I....

Eeeeeeeeeeeee.

And the tree stopped her and basically said that her message would sound better coming from her and she was all “:) Yes.” and then put the sword back in its pedestal.

It has silent princess flowers growing around it, aww.
