The Evil Within - Tag Game!

This is horribly late in reply, but thank you so much @supportivepsychopath for both the tag and for creating this tag game!! You know how much I love TEW and tag games~ ^u^ <333

When did you first play it? About 2 summers ago? Ever since the 1st Resident Evil, I’ve been a huge fan of the survival horror genre! I actually first found out about TEW after finding some fan art, and after discovering that Shinji Mikami was involved, I knew I had to play it haha ^^

Which part did you play first? The normal story mode of TEW1

Which DLC is your favourite? Probably The Assignment?

Who’s your favourite character? In case it wasn’t obvious from all of my doodles, it has to be Stefano Valentini! I also love Seb and Jojo, of course, and Tatiana is the epitome of nonchalant lol xD

Which character do you hate the most? JIMENEZ!!! (aka goblin face lol) Both in terms of his character and how he used Ruvik, and also his gameplay mechanic! Ugh who wants to escort HIM?? Poor Seb!

What creature do you like more than the others? Hmmmm, does the black cat count? What about haunted Jojo? Those tall screamy acid things in TEW2 are also great, the always mean lots of green goo haha~

What creature scared you the most? 100% Anima!! The first time I encountered her, I was really freaking out! The spooky cold environment, that singing, and the fact that you can’t actually fight her??? I WAS SCREAMING THE ENTIRE TIME!!! (Laura from TEW1 is a close second, but only since I dreaded her boss fight rather than actual fear!)

Ruvik or Stefano? Ok, I love Ruvik and the fact that he’s a scientist, plus his story arc was really intriguing and carried the game well! But it has to be Stefano!! As soon as I saw his character trailer, I knew I had a new favourite villain lol ;P

Which chapters from the entire game did you like most? welp, I don’t remember all the specific names and numbers, so I’ll talk in generalities! From TEW1, I really liked when you got to explore the Victoriano estate a bit! From TEW2, honestly anything that involved Stefano lolol ;P  The part at City Hall was my absolute fave though!

Favourite ship? Seb x Green Jelly is the real OTP lol xD! Well, initially I was a really big JoSeb shipper? It was actually some amazing JoSeb fan art that made me look into the game! BUT THEN TEW2 CAME ALONG AND I ALSO ADORE STEFSEB??? Jojo/Kidman is also pretty cute! And who could forget about RuSeb, too! I just love all the ships tbh~ ^^;

Something you want to change about the game(s)? Hmmm… In terms of mechanics, I can’t really complain much! TEW2 was such a lovely fresh balance of survival horror and open world action, and I loved the little side quests to explore! I guess I’d want more story exposition for the villains? Like what was a normal day in the lab like for Ruru? AND PLEASE GIVE ME MORE STEFANO BACKSTORY AND CONTENT!!! (also, where’s our TEW2 DLC, huh Bethesda??? ><)

Do you call Ruvik “Ruben” or “Ruvik”? _ Usually Ruvik, although I guess it depends on context? Most often I just call him Ruru lolol xD

What’s your favourite weapon? It has to be the combat knife! I love getting those sweet sneak kills and scooping up all the green jelly~ ^^

Favourite place you went through? The Victoriano mansion was super fun, especially with grabby-instant-death-paws Ruru! And of course, Stefano’s Domain and City Hall!! Also, Seb’s room in TEW2, I loved seeing what the KPD would’ve looked like!

Named after someone?  Yes and no, I suppose?  The simple answer is that my name is technically shares the same etymology as my father’s middle name, but as a feminine diminutive?  But being completely honest, and bigger picture wise, there were some fairly terrible alternatives on the table - this reasoning worked so I ended up with decent first name courtesy of my mum! lolol xD  I will say that another option that was vetoed in favour of said awful suggestions was Octavia, which I would have loved, too!  I really adore my name, I wouldn’t change it for the world, and my username Zella is a quasi shortened version of it that I’ve been using forever!  ^^

When did you last cry?  Ooh, good question!  It usually takes a lot to move me to tears or sadness, but that being said, I’m also really sentimental and a total softy???  So, I think the last time I teared up was watching a Christmas movie and the dog just came back home safely?  If there is an animal involved, especially a dog, there is a decent chance that I will end up crying over a movie!

Any kids?  Nope!  Far too early in my life in my opinion for children, and I really need to focus on professional development first before I can worry about any of that!  (and as much as I do love kids, I don’t think they’re in my future?  Maybe I’ll just rescue shelter dogs or adopt instead?  ^^;;)

Do you use sarcasm a lot?  YUP!  It’s really hard to resist that perfectly witty sarcastic remark, but I do believe that being kind and polite is super important, so my comments are generally never directed at anybody specific nor with any vitriol!  If anything, most of the time they are self-reflexive and used as a joke!  I do adore dry sarcastic humor in shows and stuff though ;P

First thing you notice about people?  Hmmm...  I’ve never really thought about this?  I guess body language and whether they are ok with eye contact?  In terms of physical appearance, probably their nose and their smile haha!  :P

Eye colour?  Medium brown, but much like my hair, it’s more of a honey gold in the light!

Scary Movies or Happy Endings?  CAN I SAY BOTH??  I REALLY WANT TO SAY BOTH!!!  But if I do have to pick, happy endings every time!  ^u^

Any special talents?  Depends how you’d define this?  Like I can tie a cherry stem with my tongue, but I would say in terms of something more useful, it would be something piano related?  I’ve been playing forever, and can learn pieces by ear, but my favourite thing is composing on a whim!  ^0^

Where were you born?  Western Canada!  But ethnically, Dad is Chinese and Mum is Spanish!  <3

Hobbies?  Well, drawing, of course!  But also video games, piano, singing, and baking/cooking!  I love food, and I love trying out new recipes or things I come up with!  ^^

Do you have any pets?  Not currently, no.  A long time ago, Fuzzy was our much beloved family dog.  I also had betta fish, Lorenzo I and Lorenzo II, both of which lasted super long and I absolutely treasured and adored!  I’m a huge animal lover, so I would like to rescue senior dogs in the future, and will most likely have a Lorenzo III as well!

How tall are you?  5′7″!

Do you/did you play any sports?  NOPE!  But if you count chess as a sport, I used to play competitively throughout elementary to high school! ...  But since nobody I know these days plays, I don’t get the chance to practice much ;A;”  I’m also really uncoordinated so I just walk A LOT for physical activity lolol xD

Favourite subject at school?  If we are talking pre-uni, it was consistently history and science (chemistry and bio)!  For uni, I took physiology, but my all time favourite classes were ancient Latin and Greek!!  It’s not really a subject, but from undergrad and now grad stuff, I also have a lot of lab experience and love research!  >0< <333

Dream job?  Clinician scientist!!  I really want to help people, and I think scientific research is a great way to reach so many people!  From a completely different field though, I think voice acting would be so much fun, especially for video games and anime!  ^^

~ HAPPY NEW YEAR! ~

Hey, just a quick self-portrait to wish everyone the best for this coming new year!!  I’m eternally grateful for all the wonderful people I’ve met and the amazing friendships I’ve made this past year, I love y’all so very much!!  ;u; <333

what do you call that little blue birdie on your avatar? (it's basically your signature but srsly what did you name it?)

Hmmmm…  Yeah, good question!

I never really named it??  I originally intended to use my birb to represent me here on Tumblr, and to literally function as my avatar?  The design is super simple and easy to keep consistent, compared to drawing out a self portrait doodle every time!  But, I ended up drawing myself AND my birb lol xD

Fun fact!  I based the design on my fave colours (green, blue, and white) and my avatar is supposed to be a hybrid between a penguin and an owl!  With glasses!! 

I guess I use “my avatar”, “my birb”, and “my smol bean” - but I don’t have an official name?  Any naming suggestions? ^^ <3

Lipstick or chapstick?  LIPSTICK!!  I love rocking a classic bright red, or a cute soft nude pink!  There’s no in between haha :P

Last song I listened to:  Tear In My Heart by twenty øne piløts - something about this song always makes me smile!!  ^u^

Last film I watched:  Underworld: Blood Wars - saw it on a whim on tv, was honestly better than I expected!  A good amount of action with Vampires and Werewolves, so I can never complain lol xD

Top 3 TV shows:  Supernatural, The Sopranos, BBC Merlin  (Trust me, there was a time when my answer would have been SuperWhoLock!!  And I also love spy thrillers, but a good tv show just didn’t come to mind?)

Top 3 artists/bands:  Owl City, Frank Sinatra, Pet Shop Boys, TheFatRat (sorry, I broke the rules...  these are all top tier music choices for me!  ^^;)
