Rue was furious when she found out from Maddy that y/n was hanging around Elliot after everything that happened after the whole Jules and Elliot “intervention.” She found y/n at her locker talking to Lexi, “after everything that asshole put me through you are still going to hangout with him?” Lexi looked at Rue confused but y/n knew exactly what she was talking about. Y/n looked at Lexi and she knew a fight was about to happen so she told the two that she had to use the bathroom. “Really Rue? So I can’t hangout with people who are just trying to help you?” Rue laughed bitterly, “you know when someone is in a relationship they should know to put their partner first but fuck it. I guess I’m on my own!” Y/n slammed her locker, “don’t fucking do this Rue! Every time we fight you think you can just end the conversation without me saying something?!” People were starting to stare but y/n didn’t care, “look Rue I love you, ok I really do, but we're fighting this war and both of us are losing." "So you want to break up?" Y/n rolled her eyes, "no Rue whenever we fight why do you think I want to break up? Look I know you don't want to hear this but whenever you and I were on a break, Elliot was there for me." Rue's face softened a little bit, it looked like she was about to cry. Y/n pulled Rue into her arms and stroked Rue's hair to calm her down, "I guess both of us are mad for nothing." Rue pulled away, but y/n grabbed her face, "no matter how many times we bump heads, I will always be right here, I'm not going anywhere." Rue smiled and pulled y/n into a passionate kiss. Y/n broke the kiss and Rue said, "oh and I love you too baby, so much."
