     In the wake of the Tumblr NSFW Purge Drama, a couple of my friends had their blogs flagged into invisibility and had to delete (notably, itsfoolproof, zenyattayes, and iamnotthelegend27). I miss writing with them a lot, but more importantly, they helped me shape my conception of Mercy as a character and an individual so much. I wouldn't be the writer I am today without their help, and I might not even have gotten into this community in the first place without them!

“I hate to break it to you, brother--” Jesse winced slightly as Zen finished cleaning the wound in his side. “--but likely gettin’ myself killed is literally in my job description. As is coverin’ the medic in an emergency.”

He waited patiently as the gauze and bandage were applied, then looked back at Zenyatta, his expression and tone almost boredly matter-of-fact. “Fact is, in the field especially -- you’re more important than me. And that ain’t me being down on myself or anything like that, it’s just the facts of how an operation like this runs. If I go down on a mission, shit might get hairy, but if we lose you, we’re likely to lose a few more as a direct result.”

His voice softened a bit as he reached out to rest a hand on his friend’s shoulder. “Good odds have been on me meetin’ my eventual end in a fight for a long time now. I’d certainly rather it be defendin’ a friend than any other way.”

It's not long after Zenyatta offered to come get Bastion that he appears, in a pair of loose gray pants, a pink shirt that read "I am a luxury few can afford," kneepads, and a large, floppy straw hat. He gives Bastion a small smile as he approaches, then reaches up to put his hat on Bastion's head. "You do not have to get up right away, if you do not wish to. We can sit here as long as you like, until you are feeling better."

Bastion slowly raised their head up as Zenyatta gave them the hat, but made no other attempt to move or speak. The hurtful words and images of dead metal bodies lying in the grass would not leave their brain, and it was too much for Bastion to process.

It would be easier, maybe, if they could cry.

I have a fair amount of experience at this point (okay, it is only a day and a half’s worth, but as it turns out, Hana’s kissboxing is quite the intense experience), so I certainly hope that my performance was at least acceptable.

I just came out of my lab after a week of working on a new project.

I’m glad people are feeling festive, but please, the Halloween party isn’t for almost another month. Other Agents need to use the common room in the meantime. Can whoever held either a party or some sort of trick-or-treat/zombie apocalypse tactical training please put the common room back to normal? Yes, this includes repairing the door.

Also, where did you even get those skeleteon models? They’re terribly inaccurate.

She did’t remember falling asleep, but she was thankful that it was dreamless. She’d been up for hours when it had happened, or something more to the tune of days. Hana was mostly just grateful for a chance to get a little rest at all, passing out and, subsequently, falling over and pinning the omnic under her. She didn’t weigh all that much, of course, she could have been moved.But it seemed that she hadn’t been, waking up on top of humming metal, just moving bits and pieces. Her first instinct was to panic, though she stuffs it down immediately at the sound of one of the doors on base whooshing open. Base. Overwatch. There were omnics here that weren’t out to kill her. Right. Things to get used to, Hana supposed.With a stifled yawn and a stretch, she pulled away from her nap partner, offering half a grin and biting back the instinct to simply retreat. “Hey, sorry about that… I didn’t mean to, like, pass out on you or anything!”
