In megaman x dive’s monster hunter event, iris and zero (in monster hunter armor) got transported to the world of monster hunter and this takes place right before zero killed iris’s brother, and then iris tried to kill zero for revenge. He sets himself on the ground and puts out his hand for a salutation.
COLONEL: Hello there. I’m Colonel. Nice to meet you.
X: Ahhh, nice to meet you too. I’m X.
X gladly shakes his hand.
DR. CAIN: Hehehe, and this… is Iris.
He gestures to a very pretty reploid who instantly impresses Zero with her long brown ponytail and her nicely designed outfit. She gently sets herself down, carefully adjusting the creases in her skirt. Then, she smiles at Zero, sweetly and innocently waves at him.
ZERO: (o.s, narrating) When we first met… I couldn’t take my eyes off of you.
He returns the gesture with a slow wave, as he can’t help but stare into her beautiful eyes.

The team walks ahead and can spot a series of offline Reploids all across the main road.
X: There are a lot more than 24 Reploids out of commission… It looks like the whole community has just been… wiped out! The others must have become Mavericks.
IRIS: (gasping, filtered) Oh dear…
ZERO: (v.o, narrating) It was your first mission as our new Intern, Navigator. And you handled it like a champ!

Suddenly, over their coms and outside from a Megaphone, they can hear someone speaking.

A hologram of a large Reploid Knight is revealed before them.

Zero’s heart skips a beat.

He makes a surprised look as he stares at the floor.

ZERO: …Maybe.. C-catch a, ride and… meet up with the others.
He can’t keep up the energy output to high-jump or air-dash any more. He slows down to a brisk walk as he takes off his helmet and wipes the sweat off of his forehead.
ZERO: (o.s, narrating) …and when my situation was dire…

The camera blurs out into a black screen.

When the dust settles, we find an aggressive, charged up and angry Zero down on one knee with his fist firmly planted in the ground.
He slowly rises to his feet with closed eyes as the aura of power around him dissolves. He turns around to see a shocked Owl floating above him.
STORM OWL: Zero! Are..you okay?
ZERO: You’re.. Storm Owl, right?
He salutes Zero.
STORM OWL: Affirmative.
ZERO: I'm fine. Thanks for your concern. You can go now!
Zero immediately turns around and runs over to a gate at the end of the corridor.
ZERO: (o.s, narrating) I needed some time to regroup and reassess my situation.

After defeating Blast Hornet, he tests out his new Giga Attack with a /crashing blow to the ground. It crumbles the entire foundation of the Test Facility. Earth is pulled up from the ground as Zero finds himself, completely outside of the broken room.
Zero stares ahead of him amazed and annoyed at his new, overpowered Earth Crush.
ZERO: What the Hell… is this power??
He calms his fist down and looks at the mountainous region ahead.
ZERO: Hmph…
He starts walking towards the mountains as the sun begins to set.
ZERO: (v.o, narrating) Once I took care of Blast Hornet, I was ready to radio back in to the team.

IRIS: (o.s, filtered) ZERO!!! I’m so glad you’re okay!
ZERO: Heh, heh. Hey Iris.
He smiles as his own cheeks flush slightly.
ZERO: (o.s, narrating) That’s when I realized how much you actually cared about me. And it only made me like you more.

He dashes inside a cave and Tethlon follows him.

He dashes over to Tunnel Rhino and cuts across his chest.

Zero rushes over to the Energen Siphoner with his saber in an underhand stance.

Zero uses his brand new move against the Energen crystal, impaling it with a powerful drill-like blade. The machine instantaneously explodes, filling the room with fire, magma and raw energy.

Without warning, Zero is force-teleported out of there.
ZERO: (v.o, narrating) …You saved my life. Probably X’s too…

IRIS: (o.s filtered, sad, ashamed) I'm sorry guys.. It was the best I could do… A device was about to level the whole area; I couldn’t run the risk… I can’t teleport you to each other so… I had to take you both back to where you started…
Light sobs can be heard over their coms.
ZERO: (calm, flirting) Hmm. Are you kidding me? You’re an Angel, Iris…
IRIS: (o.s, filtered, laughing while crying) Hehehe, stop it…. I'm just doing my job.
ZERO: (o.s, narrating) You actually saved my life! Now I knew that I could count on you for anything. I trusted you, with everything.

Just then, a floating hologram of Gareth appears, behind them.

They both turn around, stunned by his presence.

In an instant, his hologram vanishes. Zero clenches his fist in frustration.
ZERO: I’ll put an end to this soon!

ZERO: (v.o, narrating) When we finally met Gareth and Berkana, they baited us into separating, which worried you.

Their holograms disappear as an incensed X and Zero both look at each other.

Zero sprints into a run towards the lower stairwell.

Zero finishes his descent down the staircase and enters a new Indigo Corridor. Then, he lays eyes on a wave of Hoganmer clones ahead. ZERO: (finishing) While I handle the puppets.

Zero mercilessly slices the clone in half as he takes a look at his surroundings.
IRIS: (o.s, filtered, worried) Oh my!! Just be careful, okay?
There is a scenic waterfall flowing from the top of the room, down into the electric traps, proving to be very dangerous.
ZERO: (brave, fearless) Hmph… This doesn’t scare me.
IRIS: (o.s, filtered) Promise me.
Zero smiles as he closes his eyes.
ZERO: I promise.

He takes a look at his leg. It’s scratched and bleeding.
ZERO: Damn.. That left a mark…
IRIS: (o.s, filtered) I told you to be more careful…
ZERO: (annoyed, stubborn) I’m fine!
He gets up and slightly favors his leg with a limp, while he continues to walk ahead.
IRIS: (o.s, filtered, sad, concerned) Yeah right. Just look at you…

He cannot help but smirk at all the attention while he looks ahead.

Amidst a very dangerous set of electric traps, Zero takes a leap of faith and lets himself drop carefully beyond a series of floating probes. He gazes at the gate at the end of the corridor and air-dashes towards the safe terrain at the end of the trap.
ZERO: Phew!! Man. I guess I’m getting better at this.
IRIS: (o.s, filtered) Oh my God, Zero. That was so scary…
Zero’s cheeks flush as he hears her sweet voice in his ear. He can’t help but crack a smile.
ZERO: (brave, bluffing) Ahh. It was nothing.
IRIS: (calming down, skeptical) Yeah, right… hehe.
She lets out a light laugh over the coms as she clearly sounds as if she had recently been crying.
ZERO: (cocky, flirting) Hehe. Don’t worry about me, anymore. Once I take care of this goon, we’ll celebrate when this is all over.
She reacts with a light gasp over the coms as he makes his way through the gateway.
ZERO: (v.o, narrating) By the time I fought Gareth, it was settled. I knew I was going to date you.

After a massive explosion X and Zero power down from their gold and black states to their blue and red base forms and give each other an exhausted look of respect.

Suddenly, out of nowhere all of the DNA Souls they once inherited /free themselves from X and Zero's body.
X: (gasping) The DNA Souls are returning! The hollow Reploids will be able to come back to life! ZERO: Probably... Everything is finally over. At least for now… IRIS: (o.s, filtered) X! Zero! The hollow Reploids are coming to life one by one! ZERO: (excited, relieved) Iris! Man is it good to hear your voice after all that… IRIS: (o.s filtered, giggling) Hehehe, ooh Zerooo… You’re making me blush. ZERO: (blushing, smiling) Heh. Lets call in a Rescue Team to help the Reploids in cooperation. Heck, we might even be able to recruit some! X smiles as the afterglow of victory finally sets in. X: Let's go Zero! We have to express our thanks to Iris. It'll be so good to see everyone again!! IRIS: (o.s, filtered) Yaaaaaay!

Psi looks at X with the utmost remorse.
PSI: I’m sorry X… We did everything we can.
X takes it in and lets out a bloodcurdling screech as he cries.
This causes Iris to start sobbing in her own way too, as she buries her head in Zero’s chest.
ZERO: (o.s, narrating) …When Dr. Cain died, everything had changed. We just didn’t know it yet.

Zero struggles to stay alive with Takuma, Tau, Venzo, Ren, Rayven, Burn Bishop and Stone Rook by his side. They are engaged in a battle against Spiral Pegasus’ unit.
ZERO: (v.o, narrating) Part of me still wonders if that was on purpose…
Spiral Pegasus rushes over to the group as Zero guards his face, bracing for an attack. Instead, his body turns into a stream of red light as they are all teleported home.

CAPTAIN: (o.s, loudspeaker) Commanders X and Zero, report to the Command Deck, now!

A worried Iris teleports in to Central Command, looking around, concerned. Zero gasps at the sight of her.

IRIS: I’ve got a message from the Repliforce.
Colonel’s message is synced and displayed through the HQ Halogen screen.
COLONEL: (filtered) Zero! I’ll be at the Memorial Hall! Be there!
Zero narrows his eyes and clenches his fist hard.
IRIS: Don’t go, Zero! Don’t fight him!
ZERO: (o.s, narrating) Fighting your brother was inevitable… I always knew it would happen… And when I made the final blow. I should’ve expected the consequences… -Flash-

In her Winged Mech, she dashes after Zero and shoves him to the ground-

Zero stands up with closed eyes and a firm grimace on his face. At last, he slowly walks away from her dead body.
He takes a deep breath as he opens them and again lays eyes on Double’s destroyed body parts. He narrows his eyes at them, in disgust.
ZERO: (soft, defeated) …something else is going on here… I just know it…
He clenches a fist.
ZERO: I can’t give up. Not yet…
He runs over to the far wall and kick-jumps up towards a gate.
ZERO: (v.o, thinking) I’m sorry, Iris. Please forgive me… I have to see this through…
He runs through the gate as it closes behind him.

INT. ABEL CITY GENERAL HOSPITAL – Alia’s Room – NIGHT

GATE: HOW COULD YOU!?
He gets up from the bed and turns to her with such an irate face.
ALIA: I’M SORRY!!
GATE: Sorry!? Y-you’re SORRY!!! I trusted you!!!!
ALIA: I know! I- Listen.. I was cornered.
GATE: Cornered!?
ALIA: They pressured me into doing it. I didn’t want to, but they didn’t give me a choice.
GATE: Are you KIDDING ME!? There’s ALWAYS a choice!!!!
He stares at her in disgust. She looks back at him in shame. They both share silence.
GATE: …Ya know.. When it was Scaravich, I didn’t care. That one I got. But this..? This is unforgivable.
ALIA: (gasping, surprised) Wait. You knew about Scaravich??
GATE: Of course, I knew… You never approved of him, and conveniently, after you saw me on the phone with him, his coms went offline. I figured you just silently ratted him out to the police, but the idea that you went behind my back… and actually killed him personally. Then, you actively hid it from me! That’s cold, Alia.
ALIA: (sobbing, worried) I.. never wanted to hurt you.. Ever! The others always did enough… But you were hurting yourself, dealing with Scaravich. He’s the one who got Doppler infected in the first place.
GATE: …Debatable. But that’s neither here nor there.
ALIA: (sad) …So now what?
GATE: …Ya know.. Yammark was always worried that our co-workers couldn’t be trusted. I just never would’ve believed that that would include you. After all we’ve been through.
ALIA: I didn’t- ..You don’t get it…
GATE: Oh, I get it completely. Lana never liked me, but she saw something in you and Victor. She made you a part of her inner circle. And you, my little overachiever, just wanted to get ahead. So of course, you conformed to her wishes.
ALIA: (appalled) Gate!
GATE: (upset, hurt) NO!!! One of them sabotaged Yammark’s jets. Then they made Mijinion’s Mech-Test look like an accident. I don’t know WHO killed Blaze in his cell… But then YOU killed Blizzard Wolfang!!? God damn it. You, Alia? YOU!???
ALIA: I Know, I Failed you.. but I’m Telling you now!!! I know it was wrong… Pleeeease. Let’s make this right again. Together… We can rebuild them!!
She looks at him, desperately from her hospital bed and holds out a hand. Her wounds reveal an ugly truth about her, to Gate. She will say and do anything in order to advance to the next step in life. It has always been this way. He shakes his head, disgusted.
GATE: (appalled) No… Nothing you say or do can ever make this right! You can rot in this Hospital for all I care…
ALIA: (hurt) Gate..!
GATE: Enjoy your Inner Circle, sellout. You all deserve each other!
He starts to walk out of the room.
ALIA: Waait!!
GATE: (ignoring) I won’t be in the office by the time you get back.
ALIA: /PLEEASE, don’t do this!!!
He stops at the door at the /sound of her voice.
ALIA: (groveling) I’ll do anything… But pleeease. Don’t leave meeee…
He closes his eyes, hard as he leans against the doorframe. He clenches his fists and remains strong.
GATE: You should have thought about that… Before you killed my best friend. ...I’ll get revenge on all low reploids who couldn’t appreciate my ability!
He walks out of the room, leaving her to sit alone with her thoughts.

X runs through another gateway, lightly panting with a focused gaze.
X: (v.o, thinking) This is it. Tonight we end this..
He dashes through the next gate and falls onto a red-carpeted floor.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- INT. FINAL WEAPON –Throne Room – NIGHT --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
When X lands, he spots the Gigantic, General sitting on his huge throne, calmly and quietly. His stillness worries X, as he advances towards him.
X: General!
When General lays eyes on X, he slowly picks himself up from the chair and braces both arms with a clenched fist. Then, he sets off a back thruster to /destroy the throne behind him as an act of intimidation.
X: /Oh.. What are you planning to do?
GENERAL: …We’re going to build a nation for the Reploids. That’s our ultimate goal.
X takes a breath and nods as he looks at the towering figure in the eye.
GENERAL: We’ll fight anyone who tries to interfere with our independence.
X takes another breath, choosing his words carefully. This is his last chance.
X: There must be alternatives to this mindless fighting!
General takes a deep breath and speaks his mind.
GENERAL: (calm, resolved) …We were called Mavericks without justifiable reason. What other choice did we have than to fight?
X: (speechless) …But…
GENERAL: It’s too late now! Get ready, X!
He takes another deep breath as he powers up.
GENERAL: It was our Destiny to fight.
X’s eyes widen as he sees the General lift off from the ground with his back thrusters.
General puts both arms out and shoots out his two giant fists, which have thrusters of their own.
X gasps as he turns around and avoids the flying fists with a dash. Then, he charges up.
X: (v.o, thinking) Aw, man! This is really serious. The General is actually fighting me!!
He dashes away, towards the far wall and turns around.
X: (v.o, thinking) This is bad.. If I kill him… Then, I’ll have killed Repliforce.
With General’s open arms, he fires out energy rings, while his giant hands boost their way towards X’s position.
X: (v.o, thinking) Do I really want to live with that??
Worried, and afraid, X lifts up his X-Buster and finally takes a shot. The plasma blast directly hits General in the chest, but it barely affects him.
GENERAL: /Ah..
X: General, please! We don’t have to do this.
General shakes his head with a slightly amused smile as he continues to fire his energy rings.
GENERAL: No, no.. No more time for that... You Maverick Hunters started this War. Now it’s time we finished it.
A wave of defeat dims X’s eyes, as he lets out a sigh. He knows what he must do.
X backs up into the wall and kick-jumps toward the gate, while charging up.
X: Fine.
When a thrusting fist comes his way, X jumps on top of it, confusing the A.I. The fist turns around, as X rides it, ultimately changing the direction back toward General.
X: I warned you. /
At the dash, he /fires another Charge Shot, which catches General in the upper torso.
GENERAL: Aghh..
At a closer vicinity, the blast seems to have done more damage.
X: Hmph…
He uses Aiming Laser to scan him and jumps back down to his feet.
[RADAR]: Weaknesses: Twin Slasher and Shippuuga.
X: Shippuuga??
[RADAR]: …from him.
X: Hm?
He turns around to see Zero enter into the room, with a hardened, persistent face.
ZERO: General! Many died because of you! Those lives are on your conscience!
GENERAL: (shrugging, laughing) Hmhmhm. Indepencence always has a high price…
He fires another set of energy rings as he lets his arm thrusters attack, Zero.
ZERO: What about Iris?! Did you forget her?
X turns to Zero, surprised and worried.
GENERAL: I have no regrets. Come on, Zero!
X gasps as he can sense the worst from Zero.
X: (whispering) Noo…
He lets out some tears as he charges up again.
GENERAL: My fate is sealed. I have.. no choice.
Zero jumps on a fist thruster and confuses the A.I, just as X had before. A second fist punches Zero down to the ground.
X: WHAT HAVE YOU DONE!!!????
X focuses his anger on the General as his armor turns black and yellow. Truly, he is angry at Zero as he unleashes a fully charged Twin Slasher onto General’s colossal frame.
Corrosive sparks emit all around General’s body as he is highly affected by the Twin Slasher.
GENERAL: Aauuughhhh…
He retaliates, by quickly kneeling on the ground and creating a wave of energy beams that shroud X in blue flames.
X: (intense) AAAAGHHH!!!!!
He powers through the flames and air dashes out of there, closer to Zero’s position. At the same time, General retracts his fists inside his arms once again. He stands upright, and beckons them with a slight smirk. X ignores the General and turns to his friend. X: (dark) Tell me, Zero. Did you Kill her??
Zero narrows his eyes at X, taken aback and wound up. Then he lets out a deep breath of hot air.
ZERO: (guilt-ridden, admitting) I didn’t.. –want to…
X shakes his head and stares at Zero, shaken.
X: WHAT!? I Can’t BELIEVE YOU!!!
ZERO: (irate) BACK OFF!!!! You think I wanted to…? Do you think I wanted ANY OF THIS!!?
The shout stirs X’s nerves for a moment. He takes a deep breath as they both focus their attention on General.
X: (dark, defiant) I think… part of you did, actually. Yeah..!
Zero shakes his head and grits his teeth as his Red armor shifts into darker shades of crimson and black.
ZERO: God damn it, dude. Shut uP!!
X’s armor, equally shifts into shades of dark blue, gold and black.
X: (dark, upset) OR WHAT!? YOU’LL DO SOMETHING THAT YOU REGRET!!?
Now standing before the General, in their Ultimate forms, it seems that X and Zero are ready to tear each other apart.
GENERAL: Clearly, it seems that you two have issues of your own to settle.
X & ZERO: SHUT UP!!!!
General lets out a light laugh.
GENERAL: (beckoning) Hmph. In that case.. Show me your true power.
X turns to Zero with an intense face.
X: Let’s table this for now. We have bigger things to worry about.
ZERO: (nodding) Agreed!
In a raging fit, X races over to General with a Nova Strike, while Zero pounds a fist in the ground, creating his evolved Rakuhouha Giga Attack.
The Nova Attack crashes into General’s chest and cracks his frame, while the Rakuhouha corrodes General’s armor some more.
GENERAL: (struggling) Aaagghh.. Nnnno…
X lands on the ground and gives Zero a concerted face.
X: Use your Shippuuga slash. That’s his weakness!
Zero gives him a surprised nod.
ZERO: Hmph!
With focused anger, the two dash around his retaliating fists that jet toward them again. Both time their jumps and air dash onto the gauntlets, which confuse their respective A.I once again.
As they ride towards the General, X takes another Plasma Charge shot right into General’s fragile frame. Then he fires three Twin Slashers, which create mini explosions around his body again.
GENERAL: (hurt, dying) Aaaghhh-uuwwhhh. NNnnnooo…
He defiantly raises his arms and fires as many energy rings as he can at X and Zero. X is knocked down from the energy rings as they get closer to General’s position.
Zero looks at General annoyed, as he prepares his Shippuuga blade.
ZERO: Oh, you’re gonna regret that…
Right near him, Zero is able to dash off of the gauntlet and slice him across the chest with his pink Shippuuga slash.
GENERAL: (hurt) Aaaaagh.
He uses one hand to grab Zero in mid-air and squeeze the life out of him.
ZERO: (crushing) Aaauuuggghhh, uunnggggffffff… NNOOOOO!!!!
-pan further away-
X is being held down by General’s other hand, but he manages to pull up a buster and charge up. X fires another Plasma shot from afar, and it seems to make all the difference.
Upon getting struck, the General senses an imbalance in his core and begins to explode.
GENERAL: Aaaaaggghhh, uuururrrrghhhhh. NNNnooooooO!!!!!! This can’t be… iiiiiIIIITTTT!!!!!!!!
He braces himself and holds on for dear life by sheer force of will. Wild explosions emit from his chest, arms, legs and feet. The explosion eventually shrouds the whole room in white.
When the dust settles, the sound of General’s thruster still persists. He stands before them defiantly, with a broken body. His right arm and left leg are completely missing. But it appears as if he can still function, at about 30% capacity.
They stare each other down in silence for about 3 seconds before suddenly the entire Satellite Facility shakes.
X: (reacting) ..What?
ZERO: (worried) What is this!?
X: What happened!?
GENERAL: ...It can't be... No!
ZERO: What happened!?
GENERAL: This weapon can't be working... It must be malfunctioning...
X: General! What do you mean?
ZERO: What's wrong?
GENERAL: Someone else is controlling it! …You must hurry Men. The earth is... in danger!
X and Zero gasp and look at each other, fully sobered up from their feud.
X: Alright. We'll stop the weapon ourselves!
Zero looks at X with the most apologetic look on his face that he could ever make.
ZERO: The Earth is in grave danger and it’s all, my fault!
X: Not now, Zero. …We have to focus. Remember, /together we can do anything!
He /puts a forgiving hand on Zero’s shoulder and offers a smile.
ZERO: Heh, you’re right. Okay…
Feeling better, he nods to X with a smile and they clash gauntlets together with a friendly pound.
GENERAL: The access point to the Final Weapon is located somewhere just above this room.
ZERO: It must be stopped! We'll handle this...
The two run back to the gate as a war-torn General looks on.
ISOC: (o.s, narrating) This… is… Perfect.

ISOC: (o.s, narrating) As we speak, the Final Weapon is about to fire on Earth.
We see the huge satellite, slowly powering up.
ISOC: (o.s, narrating) Meanwhile… here on Eurasia, I think I’ve found my own answer. In a former colleague…

INT. EURASIA COLONY – Networking Complex – NIGHT

A fantastic display of fiber-optic cables and tubes surround a whole network of computers, where Isoc is sitting amongst several volunteer reploids, who are still under the impression that Repliforce has a future.
While sitting at his Computer desk, Isoc looks at the Reploid Research Foundation Forum and sees that his old friend, Gate has had enough from his branch with Dr. Laye.
On the screen, an Icon of Gate’s face can be seen, followed by the text: “THAT’S IT! I’VE HAD IT. I QUIT!!!”
Isoc strokes his sharp, metal beard and grins. Then he decides to open up a new email.
-pan to the screen where we see him type-
“Hello, Old Friend. I saw your message on the forum and had to reply. It sounds like this Dr. Laye, was even worse than Berkana! I say good riddance. You were always better than what she had to offer.
Listen. I know we had a strange goodbye on Laguz Island, but I was hoping that we could talk. You were always a valued colleague of mine and frankly, I miss your friendship.
I know these things take a while, but if you’re in need of work… I could certainly use a new partner. You have to see what I’m working on, here.
So what do you say Old Friend? Could we talk?

Flustered and frustrated, Gate gets his belongings in order, as he prepares to put things in boxes again. He scowls at a picture of Alia and throws it in the garage. The glass cracks from within the frame as he rummages through his other stuff. Then, suddenly he hears a ping from his e-mail server.
GATE: Huh?
He takes a look at the e-mail.
GATE: Isoc??
We see him read it. His face turns from confused, to amused with a quick laugh. Then he offers a concerned face that gradually morphs into a content smile.
-Pan to his computer screen, where we can read Isoc’s last words: -
“So what do you say Old Friend? Could we talk?
-Pan closely to his reply on screen-
“Yes.”
-Freeze Frame. Grainy Effect.-
ISOC: (v.o, o.s, narrating) Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha…
