look I am not here to debate whether daemon targaryen’s motives re: rhaenyra are pure or not cause I frankly do care, I am here for the combined familial-romantic-political targ drama and DRAGONS
but I am moderately concerned that so many people think (show!) daemon has a plan? evil or otherwise?
my brothers and sisters in christ, in what episode has this man demonstrated either the ability or desire to carry out a complex long term plan? or scheme? i’m not sure his attention span could stretch to a particularly involved april fool’s joke
hotd!daemon is making his way through life on instinct and vibes alone. he is the indiana jones or the jack sparrow of westeros, he’s making this shit up as he goes along. he’s relying on rule of cool and refuge in audacity and he knows it. i am 95% sure at least five times in his life he’s said “thinking ahead is for ugly people” and meant it.
