Zamasu's plan in DragonBall Super is asinine. He literally gets the super dragon balls, twice. He could have simply wished for all mortals to not exist and never be allowed to exist again.

Or he could have taken Zeno's body and commanded the gods of destruction to kill off the mortals. Hell, even Beerus' body would have been able to cause more destruction than Goku's.

And the argument that he is wanted to kill mortals in the body he hated the most doesn't make sense either because he turned himself into a mortal.

Also he knew next to nothing about Goku's body or techniques and had to learn everything on the fly.

Even if his plan went to perfection he would still have to deal with Zeno inevitably, which is what happened and he got erased for it.
