***BREAKING ZERO1-PPW NEWS*** Sept. 22 postponed...Zero1 USA/CDC Lucha Libre end their working agreement,
Zero1 USA Pure Pro is announcing that our show scheduled for September 22 at the Burning Heart Dojo has been canceled & postponed to a later date. This means that the scheduled re-match between Ryan Castellucci & the Zero1 USA Unified World Heavyweight Champion The Almighty Sheik will be rescheduled for an upcoming Zero1 USA event at a later date, but whether or not it will be for the Unified Championship is depending on the Sheik's ability to retain the title.
The reason for this cancellation is that the City of Mesa Fire Marshal's Office apparently shut the venue (El Mercado Indoor Swap Mart) down. We received word at the Zero1 USA offices last week that Zero1 USA must remove all equipment and property from the building in case of shut down by the fire marshal.
Unfortunately, this closure also means the suspension of all training classes at the Burning Heart Dojo until a new facility can be found.
Representatives of Z1 USA-PPW have been attempting to move the show to a suitable venue all week, with no success.
Zero1 USA Pure Pro also is announcing the end to their working agreement with AZ based Lucha Libre company Club Deportivo Colesio Lucha Libre Mexicana.
The reasons for the split pertain to the closure of the building, which both companies shared for training & live events. As of last Sunday, CDC was supposed to have their final show at the venue; but word has reached the office of Zero1 USA that they reached an agreement with the City to comply with current fire regulations & will continue running at the Mercado. (Z1USA representatives have been attempting to contact CDC Lucha Libre to see if the show could stay at the venue; but as of press time no calls or messages have been returned.)
The cancellation of the working agreement means several things for both company's, but for Zero1 USA it means the following:
1. Zero1 USA events will no longer be held at the El Mercado in Mesa
2. The Burning Heart Dojo is searching for a new training facility & classes are suspended until further notice. (all students currently enrolled will be pro-rated or refunded this month's fees)
3. The tryout scheduled for Oct. 20 is cancelled unless a suitable training facility is secured by that date.
4. The CDC Lucha Libre Mexicana (AZ) FaceBook ( a Zero1 USA maintained site) will be shut down in three (3) business days.
5. Zero1 USA MAIN ROSTER talent will no longer be appearing on CDC Lucha Libre events. (Gabriel Gallo & Dom Vitalli) ***Local roster affiliates will/may still appear, as they are independent contractors & go on show by show deals***
We at Zero1 USA apologize for the inconvenience, and ticket purchasers' may be refunded their full ticket price. Our next event is scheduled for Nov. 2, and details will be forthcoming soon. We look forward to seeing you at our next event & whatever you do, please continue SUPPORTING PRO WRESTLING!

**Zero1 USA Pure Pro: STRENGTH & HONOR 6/23/12 QUICK RESULTS**
Zero1 USA Pure Pro: STRENGTH & HONOR
THE BURNING HEART DOJO
MESA, AZ
MATCH 1:
Turbo Tony Vs. Obi Juan ended in a DQ when the Almighty Sheik stormed the ring, tossing Obi Juan over the top rope and pummeling Tony. This viscous attack brought out the Sheik's opponent for later that night, Ryan Castellucci, to save a beaten Turbo Tony. An angered Ryan played right into the Almighty Sheik's hands, calling for their Unified Championship match that night to be a "NO DISQUALIFICATION" match.
The Death Rage Cartel entered the ring next; angered by their loss last show at the hands of the Freak Squad. They began to berate the fans & one of company sponsors, Miguel from Gotham City Comics; in what appeared to be a schoolyard display of bullying on Miguel (who obviously IS NOT a FIGHTING ATHLETE or wrestler in any way, shape or form).
MATCH 2:
Super Chaos, Nick Tendo & THE Josh Carey defeated The Death Rage Cartel after a distraction from Miguel allowed Josh Carey to get the pin after a top rope Frog Splash.
Obi Juan returned to the ring, stating that he came to Zero1 to be a FIGHTING ATHLETE, and to prove to the fans and himself that he belonged in the Pure Pro locker room. He called out anyone who would take him on in a fair fight.
MATCH 3:
Obi Juan defeated Chucky, Sr.
MATCH 4:
Future SouthWest Tag Champs Lucha Star & ShadowFox defeated Awesome Andy & Danny Gee in a fast paced, hard hitting display of South West Strong Style.
CDC Lucha Libre's Psycho Extremo took on the returning Fuerza Aerea (Fuerza has been competing in Guadalajara for CMLL for the past 2 months).
MATCH 5:
Fuerza Aerea defeated Psycho Extremo. After the match, when the ref was raising Fuerza's hand in victory; Fuerza was suddenly attacked from out of nowhere by none other than Caudillo Escobedo, son of Lucha Legend Rudy Escobedo. He and Psycho began to boot Fuerza around the ring, and it took the intervention of Lucha Star & ShadowFox to drive them away.
MATCH 7:
The Freak Squad defeated The Foundation w/Devin Storm when the Freak Squad hit Chad Thomas with the Total Elimination (leg sweep/itzi-guri to the face).
MATCH 7: NO D.Q. FOR THE UNIFIED WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP:
Ryan Castellucci vs. Almighty Sheik
The Almighty Sheik retained the Championship after the referee was forced to stop the match.
In a wild brawl that went from one end of the Dojo to another; fans saw the Sheik use everything in the Dojo, even the posters on the walls, as weapons.
Ryan gave back as good as he got, at one point hitting Sheik with a Rolling Elbow so hard it looked like it took The Sheik's head clean off. The fight spilled out into the crowd, both men throwing each other threw chairs, fans, and walls. One crazed fan struck The Sheik with a chair at one point (the fan was quickly escorted out of the building), in retaliation to the Sheik breaking a framed poster over Castellucci's head.
The ref was forced to stop the fight after the Sheik somehow managed to blow a fireball into Ryan Castellucci's face; just as it looked like Castellucci might accomplish his goal of becoming World Champion.
As the ref tried to stop the Sheik's unbridled, brutal assault on Castellucci; he too was tossed out of the ring, forcing him to call out the locker room to protect Ryan as the Sheik stood on the outside of the ring hurling chairs into it at Castellucci & the Fighting Athletes and staff trying to help him.
Ryan Castellucci was taken to the E.R. and treated for burns to his face and chest. As of this time, no re-match date has been set, due to next month's Tag Team Tournament, which Ryan Castellucci is slated to compete in with partner Jack Jameson.
As of this morning, Z1USA-PPW is waiting on confirmation from the Almighty Sheik's camp on a possible August rematch between these two Fighting Athletes.
