Having been waiting for her soldier to come back, Gibbous hadn’t known what to do when the large man had taken a seat on the park bench that she had been hiding under. The first thought had been to just bite as hard as she could in hopes of scaring him away so that he wouldn’t still be there when Light returned.
That hadn’t been the case and when her entire body had left the ground, her mouth released the boot she had bitten so that she could right herself before hitting the ground. Jade eyes were focused on the man, wide and terrified. Releasing a high pitched bark that definitely caught the attention of Light.
“Stay still for a minute. She’s easily startled.” Light spoke up as he approached from the side, relieved when the toddler ran over to hide behind his legs. “I told her to stay under the bench until I came back. I’m sorry... Did she injure you?”
