Most recent ship ask meme: Sebastian/Sam and Y'shtola/Zero
Sebastian/Sam ew / nonono / maybe / ship it / aww / otp / MY HEART
If you know me you know I love ships where the characters are very different personality-wise but they're best friends (hello estimeric lol) better still if they are like, sun and moon kinda people!
I think it's great though because Sebastian is this kind of person that does not like people and is genuinely fearful of others at times, he has no clue how to interact in most social situations especially when it's one on one. In contrast, Sam has no filter and is full of energy and whimsy. You'd think they'd be incompatible, but it really works so well. Sam can just talk endlessly and fill in those awkward silences. Sebastian will patiently and thoughtfully listen, when others might tune him out. I think they bring a kind of stability to each other and meet the other's needs because they are so opposite.
Sebastian's married dialog also makes him sound very codependent with the farmer (stuff about how he doesn't feel he needs anyone but them, and how he feels fulfilled relying on them) and I think that would pair well with Sam who is someone that likes to feel needed. I don't think Sam is all that responsible as far as adulting goes (I know he does have a job and has his shit together somewhat, but I don't think he has a 5 year plan, let's just say) so I think they'd probably trip and stumble a little bit in finding what works for them, but I think they'd still mesh well c: Holding each others' hands into uncertainty!
Y'shtola/Zero ew / nonono / maybe / ship it / aww / otp / MY HEART (there needs to be a FUCK YEAH option lmao)
Oh hell yeah I love this ship! I love that it has this hook of like, Zero giving a little bit of ground to Y'shtola only for transactional reasons but then quickly getting in over her head 👀 because hello? It's Y'shtola. She's formidable to anyone, but especially someone who is experiencing emotions for the first time in her life!
I think even beyond that initial "take my aether as payment" thing, there's so much potential. Zero is eager to learn and broaden her horizons, even if she won't admit that she feels that way. I think Y'shtola would regard her curiously, she would be fascinated by her and would drink in every little bit of nuance in how she reacts to things and how she gradually opens up more and more like a flower. Scientist studying their experiment under glass but it's a powerful sorceress watching a voidsent become human 👀 it's delightful it's delicious it's delovely
