Does your OC have any nervous ticks or self-soothing habits?
Nirvana is the sort to hum to herself for comfort, as well as to wrap her tail around herself. She sometimes wraps her own tail around her leg or ankle to feel supported, or, if she is close to somebody, she may wrap her tail around them as well.
She also fusses about herself more when she is stressed, with things like incessant hair fixing or mostly just self-preening. When especially stressed, she finds she closes her white eye, as it is a source of discomfort for herself.
Let's say your OC got kidnapped, what would save them?
She is a wonderful actor. Deception and persuasion are high priorities for a bard, and she's extremely skilled in talking her way out of things. She can play along, play a helpless victim, a mind controlled enemy, or even her attempts at flirting, charming, and seducing people. Results all may vary, but she is not beyond using those tactics.
And if all else fails, swinging her lyre at someone's head is usually a good backup. Though I'm sure some friends would say she could just annoy her captors until they let her go of their own volition.
If your OC has a partner, are they opposite or rather similar?
Nirvana and Rolan could not be more different, if you were to ask Rolan. When they first met, Rolan found her to be nosy, insufferable, annoying, obnoxiously flirty, and annoyingly optimistic. Pair that with Nirvana finding him to be arrogant and haughty, but also one of the more gorgeous men to exist in her lifetime. And frankly, his haughtiness made her love trying to wiggle her way into his good side even more. He acted so above-it-all and yet he yearned for her attention while actively denying it. She fell first, and harder, but he fell eventually after she saved his ass several times, and then on top of that, nearly died for him. In fact, it was very likely the moment she broke her horn in half running from Moonrise Towers that Rolan realized his feelings for her, but admitting it was yet to make itself known.

A very unlikely duo, who are closer than two peas in a pod, frankly! What do you get when you pair up one hyperactive wannabe adventurer who never stops talking, with an encouraging bundle of bardic energy? Naavana, of course! Nirvana adored Naaber from the moment they met, no matter how annoying the rest of the group found him to be. She adored him. His enthusiasm to find his calling in life with his dorky charm reeled her right in. And as for Naaber, the one pretty lady who never once told him to stop talking or stop being annoying truly won over his heart. They are the closest I can get to believing in Love At First Sight. They will be bards together, two yappers who can't seem to talk each others' ear off as much as they try!
Nirvana and Zevlor started out innocently enough. Nirvana stayed too late in the Druids Grove one night, and it was too dangerous to go back to her camp alone. She sought out Zevlor, and he walked her back to camp himself. She held his arm, and the two walked. Nirvana felt safe with him, some sort of mix between adoration and feeling like he was the father figure she never grew up with. The feelings warred inside her for the night after he turned back down the path to the Grove again. The next day, she made her move. Zevlor tried to deny her, tried to insist he was much too old for things like this, especially for her. But Nirvana would not be swayed. She was old enough to make her own decisions, and after he had protected her so fiercely at the Gate and on their walk, she didn't want to stay away. She wooed him, and allowed him to woo her as well. After the Shadow Cursed Lands, Nirvana also VEHEMENTLY defended Zevlor to the other Tieflings, refusing to believe that he was a traitor, and reminding them all what they were up against. Rescuing Zevlor soothed an ache in both of their hearts.
The two of them are vastly different. Nirvana, young and full of life and spark and love and energy, Zevlor feeling old and quite unworthy of this love. Calm, rational, protective, a soldier. She manages to break down those walls the old Paladin had up for so long.
Is there a story behind making your OC? What inspired you?
The funniest thing about Nirvana was that I made her randomized. I was at my boyfriend's house on his PS5, so I didn't want to do much, considering any game I played wouldn't transfer back to my own profile, so i just picked around in character creator to see what I could come up with for a pretty OC. I rolled a dice for race and class, coming up with Tiefling Bard, respectively, and played around with making someone pretty. I loved Nirvana as a name, and I felt like it really fit her. Soon after making her, I decided on a lore reason for her different eyes, deciding to make her a daughter of Raphael, explaining the plain milky white eye. I wanted it to have some significance beyond just looking cool. Originally, Nirvana was set to romance Gale or Karlach, but I was growing quite attached to Rolan in my Jocasta game, and decided that Hey, maybe Nirvana ends up with a little crush on the Non-Romanceable Grumpy Wizard. Needless to say, Rolan grabbed us both in a chokehold, and now I've got all the mods to back it up, and Nirvana can finally canonically kiss Rolan 🥰 I never expected to adore her this much, but the lore came so easily to me, and now I'm happy she's in my little crew!
