I'm curious, what exactly is Zevent? I've been seeing your reblogs and that's an INCREDIBLE amount of money raised.

So Zevent is a French Charity Stream organized by two French Streamers Zerator and Dash since four years. The goal is to raise fund for different ONG each year with the help of French Streamers and their community.
During three days non-stop (friday and the week end) some streamers are reunited to play video-games, to talk about the association (interview, information...), to do challenges...They have donation goals to motivate their community, they give money too, they encourage to give one euro because the most important thing is to give even if it’s “small”. For example 132 000 people choose to donate 1 €.
In 2019, the Zevent raised 1M € ten hours before the end...the final sum was 3M5 € for the Pasteur Institute. It was completely insane and a world record in the charity stream...AND THEY BROKE IT AGAIN !
Today for Amnesty International, during three days, forty French streamers raised 5 724 178 € on Twitch. (532 000 viewers were active but during the event it is mounted to 600 000...all french speaking viewers. Clearly not a big community on Twitch. Can you imagine how it’s insane for us ?!)
Honestly it’s an incredible event getting more and more recognition through years, mostly since the 3M5 € for Pasteur Institute. Of course we were afraid it would not happen because of the Covid...BUT they did it. The streamers who were able to come had to follow a rigorous health protocol and the ones who couldn’t because of the COVID participated at their home.
They did it and they reached an another world record. It’s incredible...I’m so proud and overwhelmed by joy 😭 .
