hi edith ! what's your favorite thing about working with ub?

“Free food,” she deadpans immediately, not even bothering to raise her eyes from the book she’s reading.

She’s still nibbling the pastry Nate bought her this morning (he does so every so often, if anything to ensure she’s actually eating something for breakfast instead of just chugging energy drinks). 

Behind her, Nate smiles and shakes his head in fond exasperation but says nothing. A sudden yet predictable whine of protest makes them both look at Farah.

“Really, that’s your answer? Free food?” The woman pouts, although there’s a glint of mischief in her amber eyes. “I thought we were over this, detective. When are you gonna admit that you love us?”

Nate’s huffed sigh is almost imperceptible, while Edith just stares back at Farah without blinking, chewing in silence for a long moment before finally speaking. “They asked me what my favourite thing was, and I answered. Don’t like it? Not my problem. Get your own interview and stop pestering me.”

Farah only grins at the curt tone (likely because she can sense the spark of teasing past the surly façade). 

“Wow, that’s rude! I think you need a big, warm hug from your great friend Farah to melt away all that hostility...” She playfully wiggles her fingers, slowly making her way towards Edith, who tenses up with a grimace.

“Pass.”

“Aw, c’mon⎼”

Before things have the chance to escalate any further Nate gets up, and his resolute tone cuts through their antics. “Farah, that’s enough.” She looks like she’s about to object but he places a hand on the younger vampire’s shoulder and gently pushes towards the door. “Come, now. You’re distracting the detective, she can’t answer the questions with you interrupting her.”

The sound of Farah’s groan is muffled as Nate guides her out and closes the door behind them, leaving Edith alone. She stares after them for a moment, a subtle frown appearing on her forehead⎼ she seems to be weighing something in her mind. 

When she speaks again there’s resolve in her eyes, but also something else. Something softer, almost gentle.

“They’re family.” 

Edith bites her bottom lip, looking a bit abashed after the honest admission. “I, uh, I’m not the most trusting person. Definitely not a team player. But I trust Unit Bravo, without question. And I guess being able to trust someone like that doesn’t... suck as much as I expected.” 

She glances away, probably to try and hide the smile now curving her lips, and absent-mindedly runs a hand through her dark hair. 

“So yeah, that’s my favourite thing,” she eventually says with a small shrug before clearing her throat and throwing a worried glance at the door, as if Farah is about to burst into the room to cuddle her to death. Which, to be fair, is a possibility.

She has a sudden, irreversible thought of what it might be like to kiss him. She’s not sure why, exactly. Could be a myriad of things: he smells good and he’s holding her and he’s very much a boy (not just any boy, but a boy she is quite fond of) and he’s really quite unfairly attractive. He makes her feel safe in a way that Liam, even with all his expertly trained guards, never quite could. 

Her eyes fall briefly to his lips, then flick back up to find that he is watching her now, too. 

He doesn’t say anything, which is definitely weird, but if he knows anything she’s thinking then his face certainly doesn’t betray it. He merely lifts the corner of his mouth in a half-smile, tucking her fallen hair behind her ear. And god, she wants him, she wants him so much it wells up in her throat until she can’t speak.

36.  what is your favorite 30 diamond scene?

ma’am, i can’t even choose but so far, tyril’s diamond scene on the last chapter of blades have been living rent free in my head for a while now. no wait, kayden’s too like my eyes goes 👀 when i read it asbdjsdhbj

38.  do you tend to go for male or female LI’s?

i’m not going to lie, mostly i would go for male li’s. but sometimes i would go for both. i think it depends?

39.  which character should get more love from the fandom?

there are a lot that i want to list here but i’m just going to say every character that are being sideline for the sake of that one li’s or should i say who brings the most money. controversial? maybe but you can’t ignore the fact that it’s been happening a lot now especially on that one book (i won’t say but we know which book it is 😌)
