I loved her character development in the books. From doing everything for the honor of the Xodlak family to doing it for the Ascendancy.

Lakinda was bound by the Xodlak’s honor and duty to the point that her true self was always obscured. — living in a role, never really living as herself

“For now, Ziinda must be enough.”

The choice to embrace freedom in the present, even if it means leaving behind questions of identity tied to the past — Ziinda is the escape from being crushed under Lakinda’s weight

i've been listening to the ascendancy trilogy audiobooks in my sickbed lately (i was laid up like half of august with one long migraine) SOOOO i wanted to draw how i picture ar'alani, wutroow and lakinda (or ziinda i guess!). so here they are. lakinda's guns are out bc i think she deserves this
