The grand opening of Davy's store Zilch in 16 Magazine, February 1968
Two months was a long time to hold out. Yes, Robert was stubborn. He could kick and scream and fight with the best of them even without his suit - even when he knew he couldn't win. But two months was a long time. Plenty of time to wear the villain out and this week proved it.
Robert had been good. He'd been sweet. Chad had tuned into the basement feeds religiously. Every morning, he'd woken up and pulled himself into the large glass shower without complaint then carefully selected the day's lingerie. He ate breakfast quietly and lounged, looking every bit the pampered pet he was. Most days when he grew bored, he even climbed into his bed and pleasured himself. He'd hide his face in his pillows, but his muffled moans were unmistakable.
Chad's name. He was moaning Chad's name.
And when Chad came home in the evenings - or pretended he'd just gotten home when he'd really been upstairs the whole time, watching - Robert bent over so sweetly for him and Chad got to hear those moans in person.
Cirus was wrong. Chad knew Robert understood now. He was ready. He was done fighting.
In fact, Chad set up one final test just to be sure. He unlocked Robert's chains and brought him upstairs for a dinner at the table. He sat him down then patted his pocket and cursed. Told Robert he'd forgotten his phone downstairs and that he'd just be a couple minutes. Told him he knew Robert could be good for him.
"Will you?" He asked, almost pleading, "Be good for me?"
Robert nodded, "For whatever smells this good? Take all the time you need, I'll be right here."
He was still sitting there when Chad got back, his elbow on the table, his chin cupped in his head. Looking a little bored, maybe, to have been kept waiting, but still there. Waiting.
Chad couldn't contain his grin.
Robert was finally being good. He hadn't even tried to escape. Chad had made it so easy. He could have, if he wanted to.
"Sorry to keep you waiting, baby. Let me get dinner served."
He brought the meal out. Served Robert. Gave him his fork and his knife and-
"Can I try something?" Robert asked.
"What is it?"
Robert turned his face demurely, cheeks a little pink. Chad was too giddy to be wary. "I wanted to try kneeling next to you. Then you uh... you feed me."
Chad was agreeing before he knew what he was doing. He was watching Robert stand and sheepishly smile. Watching him gracefully kneel down beside his chair, his cheek briefly nuzzling against his thigh before he turned his face up and dropped his mouth open.
It was like a dream come true. Chad fed each piece of mantu into Robert's waiting mouth slowly, letting Robert lick his fingers clean after each piece as he mumbled, "Thank you, Chad." He grew more and more obscene, licking and sucking Chad's fingers one by one whether they were covered in sauce or not.
Robert smiled sweetly up at him, opening that pretty little mouth, drawing Chad's finger in, staring up at him with wide, adoring eyes.
Biting through the tissue and bone. Stabbing him in the thigh with a fork Chad hadn't even realized was missing from the table setting. Trying to choke him with the chain he'd somehow freed from his ankle.
Maybe two months hadn't been long enough after all.

i want to clear it, but i'm still stuck in the middle of chapter 2.
if they weren't going to make byler canon then why did they use all the best tropes on them
fantasy au (cleradin), childhood best friends, vampire au (epilogue mike), friends to lovers, living together, apocalypse au, forced proximity (s4 van), writer and artist, rain scene, miscommunication, their muse, i'd die for you, i'd kill for you, i'd live for you
and then they gave mileven ZILCH
