#zine subscription

In January 2024, I started publishing between one and three mini-zines each month, and sending them out to my subscribers. Though there were a couple months I skipped due to personal reasons, because some months had multiple zines, so far subscribers have received 13 zines. I am currently finishing up the final batch, which will include three zines, bringing it to a total of sixteen.

I will be taking this listing down in mid-February, when the final three zines are completed. Most of these zines will not be sold/distributed individually, so if you’re itching to see any of the past minis and/or the final three, this is your LAST CHANCE to get in on it.

I'm back in the job market. Two weeks ago, with zero warning, I received an email. Subject line: "Impact of Organisational Changes" My position has been rendered redundant. I've been stressed, angry, freaked out, sad and much more. I guess this zine is my attempt to deal with all those emotions. My pocket notebook has been an absolute lifesaver over the past 14 days. Thoughts, sketches and ideas are all going into the notebook. I'm hoping I'll be looking back on this notebook and laughing. While I'm figuring out how I'm going to pay my bills, I've decided to spend my time between job applications and freelance work on making more zines for my zine subscription. I've never been more motivated to get a local zine community going, and going to make work of it. I also want to do more zine-making workshops. Next month it will be two years since I started putting out a new zine every month, and I want to celebrate it! I don't want to be sitting and feeling sorry for myself. February's additions to my year of mini zines. Daycare Swindlers & Old Pals is a little story about a favorite band (the Daycare Swindlers) and an old friend (Noah, of Daycare Swindlers). It Is 5 A.M. & I Can't Sleep So I Call the Ghost of Kathy Acker b/w The Incredible True Story of How the Chicago Rat Hole Came to Be is two excerpts from my novel-in-progress.

It's not too late to get them! If you purchase just one month of zines before March 15, you'll get these two.
