This little girl is still figuring out how best to use her trunk, especially when it comes to drinking. Elephants typically suck up water through their trunk and then spray it into their mouth, but Ziwadi prefers to just dunk her head into the trough and gulp. She also misses the mark a bit when it comes to mud bathing and ends up flinging mud on everything except herself. So, she’s come up with the efficient solution of just rolling around to cover her whole body! We think this disconnect might be due to the seizures Ziwadi struggled with for months after her rescue. The good news is that she hasn’t experienced one for quite some time and seems to be totally fine these days.
