The Creation of Grunt
Several hypotheses have been put forward about the meaning of The Creation of Grunt’s highly original composition. In 2186 a physician named Mordin Solus noted in the medical publication the Journal of the Salarian Medical Association that the background figures and shapes portrayed behind the figure of Wrex appeared to be an anatomically accurate picture of the Krogran quad. Alternatively, it has been observed that the red cloth around Wrex has the shape of a human uterus, and that the scarf hanging out, coloured green, could be a newly cut umbilical cord. Art historians around the galaxy are still trying to figure that last one out. When asked in a recent interview, pop psychologist Kelly Chambers speculated, “Maybe it’s oedipal? That’s usually how art is, right?”
The Portrait of Spacepope Wrex I
The Portrait of Spacepope Wrex I is an oil on canvas portrait by the Citadel painter Die Bloodkill, which he finished during a trip to Tuchanka around 2650. Many artists and art critics consider it the finest portrait ever created[2, citation needed]. The Illium-born painter Fra’cis LaBacon also made a series of paintings, the Screaming Wrex based on the work, now famous in their own right.

Krolympia
Though Morlan’s The Luncheon on the Citadel (Le déjeuner sur la citadelle) sparked controversy in 2183, his Krolympia stirred an even bigger uproar when it was first exhibited at the 2185 Ilium Salon. Conservatives condemned the work as “immoral”, “vulgar” and “inexplicably arousing”. Journalist Emily Wong later recalled, “If the canvas of the Krolympia was not destroyed, it is only because of the precautions that were taken by The Council.”
Kroga Lisa
The painting is a half-length portrait and depicts a female Krogan whose facial expression is frequently described as enigmatic. Some believe that the slight smile is an indication that the subject is hiding a secret, perhaps to the cure to the genophage or the answer to “How many maws could a Thresher Maw thresh if a Thresher Maw could thresh maws?”[1]
