Have you read/seen howls moving castle (and its book sequals) and what are your thoughts?

Love the movie, grew up reading all the books, love them all to death.

Some people don’t like the variations between the books and the movie, but I think the movie stands up on its own as a great piece of media. I’ve actually got the whole movie on my phone so that I’ll always be able to watch it if I need to calm down. It’s my go-to for bad days.

The books I always appreciated Sophie and her temper. And that she was a powerful magic user in her own right. When I heard that Jones based Howl on her husband after he had a particularly bad head cold I just had to lol.

Inbox Guardian here - I’ll let Nick know about the vanishing pages, I think we’ve had this problem before. I don’t remember how it was fix……. if it was fixed. Updates to come I suppose!

As for the other chapters that’s on me, I’m doing some very slow revamping on the Holic chapter list and it’s stunted the chapter updates. There have been more, but they are on a pause atm. Expect a post announcing when the chapter page is all new and shiny and finished so everyone can go and see it.

Prompto considers the text. He scrolls up on his phone and--okay, no, he didn’t totally miss a conversation where he and Iggy talked about getting dinner tomorrow night. He tries to think if Iggy mentioned anything when they were at Noct’s apartment a few days ago. Or did Noct? Shit, Prompto must have forgotten something.

idk? Prompto texts back. Whatever you want

I was thinking about the Accordan restaurant on 5th, Iggy texts back immediately. Okay, so that wasn’t really a question. It’s close to the gallery, so we won’t have far to walk.

Wait, what gallery? Prompto thinks, thumb hovering over his phone. When did Iggy mention a gallery? But he’s clearly expecting that they’re going to dinner… and a gallery… together… on a Friday night…

Prompto mulls this over, considers that the last few times he’s been with Ignis either Gladio or Noctis were also there, and pulls up a group text.

hey guys did Iggy ask me out to dinner and a gallery one of the last times we were all hanging out and I just like, Prompto sends. forgot

Noctis, probably putting off something important, texts back immediately. what

i don’t remember him asking me but he just asked what restaurant we should go to and idk??? Prompto writes, jiggling his thigh against the bench. He moves his camera off his lap and back into its case.

Noctis and Gladio are blowing up his phone, with things like, he didn’t ask you out around us but he’s been pining FOREVER and it’s been SUCKING so GO ON A DATE with him and did he forget to ask you out and omg how could he forget the most important part of going on a date??? and unless did you get hit on the head during practice gladio did he hit his head?? and nah he hasn’t had any injuries in practice recently he’s fine

Prompto goes back to the chat with Iggy.

He sends, and it takes less than a second for Ignis to call him.

“Prompto,” Ignis says, and sighs audibly over the phone. “It appears I was… so worked up about this gallery and dinner and going on a date with you,” and Prompto thrills a bit that Ignis who’s a Count and looks so handsome all the time and is so cool wants to go on a date with him, “that it appears I forgot to do the asking out part of it.”

“That’s a pretty important part of it,” Prompto says, when Iggy doesn’t continue.

He laughs a bit. “Indeed. So, well,” he says, “there’s a photography gallery showing at the Titan tomorrow night. Would you like to go see it with me and get dinner?”

“Yeah,” Prompto says, smiling. “That sounds great. I heard there’s a great Accordan restaurant in walking distance of the gallery, too.”

KID very much does disguise as women! bridgette might be trickier for him because of her height, but i’m sure he’d find some way around that (stealthily putting lifts in everyone else’s shoes?)

felix doesn’t kick the suspicious bridgette in the face like bri did to the fake felix, but he gets a heavy sense of unease when she turns down spending time with him (after being his diligent stalker for the entire school year so far)

he brushes it off and welcomes the reprieve - bridgette can do whatever she wants, right? so what if she’s suddenly decided she isn’t interested in felix any more; isn’t that a good thing? - but deep down in his chat noir bones he knows something weird is going on.

Whats Iris up to in the royal soulmate?

Lestallum is hot, and it sucks, but it means that Iris can have ice cream every day, so it's not as terrible as it could be.

And Lestallum is really awesome, even if it's hot and industrial. But the power plant workers--a lot of them women, and buff, and Iris wants to take notes, or just be able to admire them--are wonderful and and when Iris was brave enough to go up and tell them so, they smiled and laughed and gave her some work out tips.

The city of Lestallum, and more importantly has its own long, torrid history. Iris has never been as interested in history or the arts as much as Gladio is, but it makes their mom happy.

And it means they get to go on a trip to the Dis of Cauthess, which is even cooler up close.

The Crownsguard with them helpfully takes a picture of the two of them with the Disc as a backdrop. Iris wants to walk up as close as possible, but it takes a good part of the day to get to the Disc in the first place, and Monica clears her throat tellingly. “Libri," she says to her mom. “We ought to start heading back.”

“Yes, thank you, Monica,” her mom says. “Iris, let’s go dear.” 

Iris turns around regretfully, but without complaint. 

It’s beautiful, but she can come back. Her dad didn’t set a return date for the two of them, not while the Empire is visiting and he’s so fearful for their safety.

Another day, in the future, when Iris is stronger than her brother and her dad combined, she can keep going in the dark. 

But for now, she heads back with her mom and Monica to safety.

An idea about your messages, have a friend sort them for you. I know a lot of blogs where people react to stories have someone read an delete their messages to prevent spoilers.

The thing for me is, a lot of the messages I get are intensely personal, and often related to health issues or things people have taken a lot of courage to type up and finally tell someone who they think/hope will understand. And I’m very conscious of their trust and confidentiality, so letting someone else sort and filter them just doesn’t...sit right, with me.

ETD might be able to help me, as most of the tumblr fam knows him from my chatroom, and he has helped me in the past and cares a lot about the people I talk to on here as well. It’s just, hngl. I need a clone. I need several clones.
