Idea for Zofis/Koko’s return

So in a recent post I made mention of wanting to see Zofis and Koko appear as a (willing) pairing. So I had a story of how it could have happened.

After the original incident, and having her memory erased, Sherry places Koko in a hospital telling her friend that she had been in a coma since her house fire. Sherry and Koko seem to have gone back to normal.

At some point, post-demon War, Koko is attacked by a book owner. In particular, a book owner from the millennium war arc. Someone who had their heart tampered with by Zofis. Essentially, post-war he had his life ruined because of the tamerperimg. Think how receiving another’s heart can supposedly change your personality but here it’s to the etreme.

Obvious he can’t take revenge on Zofis, so they go after the book owner, Koko. Koko not knowing what is going on as the book owner tells her what kind of monster she is (they don’t know that she was brain washed.) but there are cracks in her manipulation where her true memories starts slipping in.

Sherry takes care of the Millennium book owner but in the process reveals that she had Zofis manipulate the memories that Koko had.

This hurts Koko. Not only does this mean she cannot trust the memories of that time, but how can she trust her best friend she didn’t do more to her memory. How doesn’t she know that her actual memories of her friendship with Sherry wasn’t fabricated.

This causes Koko to leave Sherry as she feels like she can’t trust her or her own memories. This ultimately leads to Sherry as she was in the Gash sequel proper.

In present day, during the searching for book owners, one of of the sacorphagus breaks free to be Zofis. Of course Kiyomaro and Gash doesn’t want him as he is most definitely not someone they want to work with. But Zofis is able to escape their attack.

Koko comes across Zofis, and while she can’t trust anyone or her memories anymore the only thing she knows is true and that’s Zofis manipulation. It’s Risky, she knows, but she approaches Zofis.

Meanwhile, Kiyo/Gash (along with Sherry/Brago) are dealing with the enemy only for a familiar voice call out a new spell and they defeat them. Our heroes look over and sees its Zofis and Koko.

At first Sherry believes that Zofis is manipulating Koko again, but Koko reassure Sherry that isn’t the case. Koko apparently approached Zofis and have him restore her memories. So now it seems she is her normal again, both the hood and the bad memores.

Zatch: I don't remember what whoever attacked me looked like, but... I think I remember hearing him. He was singing something and cursing that he was singing it.

Tia: Do you remember what he was singing?

Zatch: I think it was that song "I Want It That Way"?

Tia: Backstreet Boys, I'm familiar. Okay... Number one, could you sing the opening to "I Want It That Way"?

Reycom, confused: Really?

Reycom: Okay. 🎶You are my fire🎶

Tia: Number two, keep it going.

Hyde, awkwardly: 🎶The one desire🎶

Tia: Number three.

Zofis: 🎶Believe when I say🎶

Tia, getting into it: Number four!

Robnos: 🎶I want it that way🎶

Tia: TELL ME WHY

Everyone: 🎶Ain't nothing but a heartache🎶

Tia: TEEEELL ME WHY

Everyone: 🎶Ain't nothing but a mistake🎶

Tia: 🎶Now number five!🎶

Zeno: 🎶I never wanna hear you say🎶

Tia: WHOO!

Tia: (sighs) Chills, literal chills.

Zatch: It was number five. Number five took my memories.
