Headcanons for the Lead Zombie from 'Army of the Dead' falling in love with a human that's surviving in his territory. I love that movie and I'm a simp for the zombie even tho I cant remember his name....right now
I got carried away with this, enjoy!!
Also let me know the name of the King if he has one.
- it wasnt that he was falling for you. A zombie king couldn't fall for a human...could he? But damn, was he curious.
- The first time he took notice of you was when you came face to face with Valentine. And lived.
- And it wasnt one of those disney moments where the undead tiger felt some comfort from your soft words or pressed his rotting snout against the palm of your outstretched hand.
- No. It was how you FOUGHT Valentine that peaked the Kings interest.
- You ducked between cars and rolled under his claws. His black teeth skimming your skin, tearing your clothes but finding no purchase.
- It was how you screamed back at Valentine when he roared his anger. Your gun blasting lead into the creature's chest. The noise attracting his kin to swarm your location.
- But you still fought. Narrowly escaping the horde of Undead through alleyways and dark buildings. Losing Valentine in a mess of barbwire barricades left behind by the long dead military. The tiger's roars of frustration following you as fled back into the depths of Las Vegas.
- Thats what infatuated the King. That you fought. Survived. But still stayed amongst the Dead. You wanted to stay.
- He kept his distance for a while. But eventually his curiousity grew into something more.
- He wanted you to live here. So, he kept his sires from your hideout. Had the mindless undead shuffle away from areas you needed to get too.
- Love? Perhaps. In some twisted sense. But it made him leave bundles of meat at your doorstep. (Hardly edible for humans but when he hasn't seen you scavenge for a few days, he grew worried.)
- He never approached you. But you caught glances of him overwatching your treks through the dead city. Keeping his distance until a group of outsider Humans found there way inside.
- They had you trapped in your hideout. Bullets leaving deep grooves in your walls.
- And the sight infuriated the King. He charged on his undead steed, his sires tackling them to the ground and tearing them apart.
- You didn't dare leave your home. But you peeked out of the boarded windows just in time to see the King rip off the head of the intruders. Throwing it to his kin and letting them feast on the bodies.
- He looked over as you readied your weapon to shoot. A perfect shot to take down a creature that has haunted this city for years. That started it all.
- But the gentleness behind the undead stare. A soft growl rippling from his throat as your eyes locked together. Something in your stirred the longer you watched him.
- You didn't shoot. And the King left the carcasses of the intruders for you to scavenge.
- You found yourself doing that alot after this. Staring at the Zombie King. And you found his gaze staring back. Just as gentle. Still hungry. But it seemed...a different type of hunger.
