I’m really happy you sent this. Its been awhile dude! I’m doing super well and im pretty happy. Thank you for checking in! Yes we should definitely video game it someday, Perhaps make a full circle and co-op the new RE2 remake coming out?

It has one of the trickiest endings to convert into a movie ever. I’m hopeful though! Honestly, there’s so many bad king adaptions I’m ok with this just being pretty ok

I hope they actually ADAPT it instead of trying to actually film that unfilmable ending. Adapting in itself is an art and I appreciate when they actually adapt the material for a different medium. That’s why The Shining works so well and to a lesser extent Carrie. (Salem’s Lot is like the exception to the rule)

Barry Lyndon is totally not for everyone, and I 100% get that.

On another day, I might say it is my absolute favorite. It has this melding of visual aesthetic and thematics that is nearly perfect for the material. The pace feels strange until you realize its leisurely nature is mimicking character (again that melding of everything!). The cinematography is jaw-droppingly ambitious and I would argue top 5 ever committed to film.  The craftsmanship on display really gets me going. The adaptation of the book is also really accomplished. Again, I totally get why it aint for everyone and it isn’t the most “fun” movie to watch and it requires a lot from the viewer, but as far as period pieces go it is very singular.

I just started playing Darkest Dungeon on ps4 and it's so fun but golly am i bad at it, but i like that i am, and i'm slowly chipping away at upgrading and enjoying it. I was going to try it as a podcast listening game, but i get too stressed and have to pay attention hah

i thought i was doing so good but i’m only up to the second boss (the crazy dude and his defensive pieces of wood???) and i’ve lost 8 heroes fighting him. i was considering a lets play but really, who wants to see me throw lives to the wind trying to defeat a boss that’s probably easy?
