Hey it’s me again! I’m just wondering if you have any headcanons/ideas of the Angel secretary girl from imp inc? If the show were picked up I like to think she’s more important than it appears and she’s very well trusted

Sorry it took so long to answer this! ANYWAYS YEAH YEAH LET'S GO

I have this idea that she's something of an ambassador for negotiations between the angels and demons. I'm sure that the integration of low level non-angelics didn't always go over so smoothy, and that's where she comes in.

I have the headcanon that the angels don't really like interacting with imps if they don't have to, so she can play the role of "middle-man" when imps want to talk to higher-ups and the angels are being butts about it.

I also imagine she knows which angels wouldn't even listen to anything they'd have to say only on the basis of them being imps, so she'll sometimes play messenger for them without being asked. I like to headcanon her as being highly intelligent and a trusted source of information for both imp-kind and angels alike. She's highly respected.

I’ve watched the Imp Inc pilot myself and I got to say I really enjoyed it! Net’l is just precious! I’m happy that their boss who represents god has dark skin. Usually if a cartoon wants to depict god they always go for a white vaguely Zeus looking design. Besides him the only other dark skin interpretation I’ve seen is from the furry Noah’s movie so it makes me happy that at least there is some designs that give the big man up stairs darker skin

YES!!! I love how they depicted God! On top of being being black, he was also shown as being blunt, yet also understanding and NOT easily angry. He keeps forgiving and giving more chances, and I really love how that basically comes from the Bible itself. Slow to anger, quick to forgive. Calm and supportive while still being matter-of-fact.

Many pieces of media depict God as an outraged and aggressive authority of fear or anger. Making him something of a "mid-century golf-dad" kind of boss figure, they paint him as tough but understanding. It just feels way more honest and also comforting in a way! I also love that we never get to see his face. (The only other media I've seen make God black was Good Omens and...well, Neil Gaiman. So...yikes.)

I ADORE how they set up how their universe works too! There's obviously a heaven, hell, and earth, but they never used specific biblical terms so even though it's heavily influenced by theology, ANYONE can enjoy it! "Upstairs" and "downstairs" was also how a lot of kids grew up referring to heaven and hell since "hell" was a bad word. THERE'S SO MUCH THOUGHT PUT INTO THE SET UP!

And DO NOT get me started on making the protagonists (technically) low-level demons. As Imps, they're technically from the "downstairs" but their shaping their own path and climbing the ladder, despite where they came from and how others seem to just assume they're up to trouble when all they want to do is make people happy. They're imperfect and flawed, but their hearts are in the right place and all they want to do is help others. I LOVE THAT!!!! SO MUCH!!!! It's a VERY human feeling.
