Universal Talking Machine Co. was the catalyst in a complex and harrowing series of legal battles that ended the business of the gramophone’s inventor and placed the fate of the fledgling industry in the hands of a Philadelphia machinist. This rare single-sided 7″ disc was made in 1899 or 1900, before Universal began maketing the Zon-O-Phone name.

Frederick W. Hager began his musical career as a recording violinist, one of the first, in the late 1890s. He was a prolific composer, a publisher, bandleader, musical director and record executive into the 20s.

Another Fanbot Idea! Listening to this song I came up with this idea. I"m sure this also has been done before. 

Built: (finished) April 30th, 1877 Name: Zonophone then changed to Mixer He's a brass robot with a phonograph in his chest. To entertain, but as radio picked up he was left by the way side and mostly forgotten by his rich inventor family. And when the head of the household, his inventor died, he was put up in the estate auction to help cover debts.

He was purchased by a hipster kinda inventor from upstate NY who modded his phonograph into more like a dj table. Where he sings the music he plays on his record. He doesn't have a voice box, so his new inventor recorded his own voice on a record saying multiple helpful phrases that he can use to express himself, along with whatever scratching and records he already has. 

He doesn't like to talk cause he thinks people will make fun of his singing talking style. He's a hopeless romantic with a strong affinity for Canadian geese.
