Still don't understand why everyone lost their shit when the zootopia 2 trailer showed Judy and Nick in mom and dad merch, they're cops, and cops in fiction are notorious for going undercover, also we were literally introduced to Nick while he was pretending to be a dad! And even if they did become parents, no need to imagine anything weird into it, I imagine adoption exists in zootropolis!

This may be from an interview about the X-Files but this feels very much like the writers of Zootopia took it to heart with their own Fox.

I put Zootropolis 2 on as I sorted and folded washing and it was actually better than I thought it would be.

After rewatching Zootopia last Saturday and watching the second one after it, really love the second one by the way, they weren't slick with the Wildehopps, does anyone else think Nick could be Italian?

If the predators are meant to represent stereotypes about minorities, such as savagery, then I think Nick being a fox represents how Italian-Americans were treated in New York:

Nick has connections to Mr. Big, an Italian mafia boss

Nick being a fox makes people believe he's shifty

The elephant in the ice cream bar assumed Nick was there to make trouble

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm also sure that same scene was a reference to a scene in a mafia movie where a diner refused service to a Mexican guy

Four pieces of evidence isn't substantive and unfortunately there's nothing from the second movie to corroborate this theory further so it's just a headcanon I guess.
