Opinions on Jellicent?
Jellicent is awesome. Fun facts: Ghost types are the inverse of Fighting types for me in gen 5. Every ghost of gen 5 is awesome and top-tier, and it’s actually the generation that put Ghost types so close to my favorites. Jellicent is no exception. In terms of design, I like Frillish a lot better, but Jellicent does have a design I like. It’s super goofs, and I love the giant mustache on the male. I also love the battle role. Recovery, Will-o-Wisp, very solid defensive typing. It’s a great Pokemon.
Mega-Rapidash: Fire/Fairy, Ability-Pixilate, +40 Atk, +30 SpAtk, +30 Speed, new moves Play Rough and Moon Blast
I’m glad other people are on board with Fire/Fairy Rapidash. Obviously it will get wings. I always considered a more blatant physical attacker with higher defenses and Levitate, but this is probably the stronger option.
Quiet - Ice?
NOW WE’RE TALKING!
1) Alolan-Ninetales. While I am forever upset that this locks Ninetales out of ever getting a mega form, I do love Alolan Ninetales, and think this is the best alolan variant they had. Not in a competitive sense, just in terms of what’s great.
2) Froslass. I really love Froslass. Ice/Ghost is a cool typing, and basing it off the Yuki-Onna is an A+ decision. I just wish it had more offensive presence. A Spikes-setter immune to Rapid Spin with Destiny Bond access is neat and all, but giving it more offensive presence to take advantage of some really great coverage would be nice, you know?
3) Glaceon. All Eeveelutions are excellent, and Glaceon is no exception.
4) Articuno. One of the best legends, I would say. Articuno is gorgeous, and I think would still be a decent force to reckon with if Stealth Rock didn’t exist. But no, Stealth Rock has to exist as it always has and ruin everything for everyone always.
5) Regice. I enjoy Regice as well. Doubly so since learning that Gravity boosts accuracy considerably, giving this thing nigh-perfect accuracy Blizzard, Thunder, and Focus Blast. It’s probably hard to set up, but man is that hilarious.
6) Aurorus. It’s a gorgeous Pokemon, and personally, I think it’s a good example of how a poor typing can really ruin something’s chances. It has all the tools it needs. But Rock and Ice are both types that are so...horrifically bad, that it really stood no chance in competitive format.
7) Lapras. Lapras is a friend, and a hero.
8) Dewgong. It’s such a majestic creature, given what it’s based off of. I was really hoping for a good mega Dewgong last generation. I sincerely hope they bring megas back, because there’s still a ton of options that need it.
9) Weavile. One of the only Ice types to figure out that maybe, just maybe, Ice isn’t a defensive typing, but works really well as an offensive type.
10) Piloswine. Mamoswine is cool too, but I feel like this is one of the few situations where I’m going to insist I like the second stage better. It’s just fluffier and cuter-looking, which at the end of the day, is what I’m most invested in.
