i need space

I was reading through some blogs and came across this post about Zpoint in Makati, the exclusive distributor of CLEI Transformable Furniture Systems. The foldable, space-saving designs are genius and if I ever find the time, I really want to drop by their showroom. These are some of the furniture systems they produce:

I would love for our kids to have a super fun and functional space like this:

Granted, the colors can get a little kitsch but with a little customized paint job, it would work so well for our apartment. I've always wanted to raise a family in a condominium rather than a big house. Not that I don't appreciate houses but based on observational experience, I've realized that the smaller the place, the closer the family. I have no intention of letting my family members hole themselves up in their own individual rooms and then leave and come home without anyone even noticing. Simple things like watching DVDs or TV, eating snacks or studying become family activities since there's nowhere else to hide and the more we see each other, the more often we'll talk and spend time together. It's a personal philosophy that I really hope works for us.

The only thing I didn't anticipate was that when our housemaid and nanny moved in, our family would increase in size so quickly and I'm slowly running out of bed and closet space. This might solve the problem and I need to start planning soon since we intend to expand our family next year. :)
