Skin Apotheke Cleanser Review WITH UPDATE

After I made my first order of cleanser from Zria on Etsy, I realised most of my skincare products were running out, so with the strong Aussie dollar I decided to stock up on all my skincare needs with Skin Apotheke. It might not seem very minimalistic but I am a bit of a natural skincare fanatic so I am especially picky with my purchases.

Reading and writing product reviews is my love so here is my first for tumblr :)

The first product I bought was the Organic Advanced Repair Cleanser with Dead Sea Mud and Kelp. It is very unique and I love that Ria lovingly hand makes her products in small batches. I have never bought any Ayurvedic (traditional Indian medicine) based products before so it has a pleasantly surprising smell which is very complex compared to the simple MooGoo Milk Wash I was using before. And I'm not saying simple is bad! I love simple.

The cleanser has a gel consistency and is a dark greyish colour. It cleans very well, maybe a little too well for my dry skin so it is best to use it once a day at most for the hydrationally challenged but I can imagine this would be great for oilier skin. It claims to clean the pores, I don't think that is something that can be monitored overnight so we'll see how it goes after I finish the whole bottle. Definitely a nice pick me up in the morning. 

The bottle is small but is concentrated and will probably last 1-2 months. It was USD$16.95 which is in the mid priced range, which is great for the quality of product.

I hope it doesn't break me out because my skin reacts badly to anything. I'll update here if anything changes. I'm quite happy with it so far.

UPDATE: Ok, I love this. I really do. It's been about a month and my pores are much cleaner and I found that I was able to use this in the morning and night eventually. My skin doesn't break out with this. It is able to remove my light make up which was a pleasant surprise. Initially, my skin did get a little red but now it works well and I'll be sad when it runs out. I'm a little pass the halfway mark on the bottle.

Recommended: Yes

Would I buy it again: Yes

Bargain: For the quality, organic ingredients with thousands of years of history, hell yes.
